Olney posted an Insider article today on the growing possibility that NYY splits with Cano. NYY could trade for Phillips, but he's aging, declining, and still has a large sum left on his contract. Would the Yankees be interested in trading for Altuve? If so, do the Yanks have any pieces we would be interested in? I know this isn't even a rumor, just a possibility, but I wanted to see what others saw in the opportunity.
Agreed. The Yankees need power. Altuve is mediocre at best and offers only two things of value: youth and a reasonably cheap pricetag. Neither of those is particularly important to the Yankees.
