This is what you say when you have no leverage. Sign the three-year contract already if you really want to be part of Houston

He should not do anything that is not in his best interests.

Contracts need to be mutually beneficial.

Raymond Brothers: Don't worry Danuel. We got them where we want them!
    Danuel: How?
Raymond Brothers: Just know that...the House always wins
Danuel: You're basing my livelihood on a quote from Ocean's 11?
Raymond Brothers: Puns are good for icebreakers during negotiations. Did you hear the one we used with the Sixers when everyone asked about Markelle?
    Danuel: .......
Raymond Brothers: We told the Sixers, "We are not at Fultz"

of course he does, because there's no gurantee he has a spot anywhere else if he wants to stay in the league and the number of games he'll be able to play goes down by the day.

he made his own choice. that's not on anyone else

Exactly. I want him here but I understand. A one year deal isn’t asking of much. Morey just want control of another asset

Yep, and now he and the org need to work something out.

He wants a one year deal to become a RFA, and the Rox want a longer term deal to lock him up cheap, there is middle ground they just need to find it.

    Contracts aren't necessarily mutually beneficial.

I appreciate his side getting his narrative out there but zero chance I give you a platform to increase your value without you first commiting to me.

    To thyne self, be true.

Morey could mutually benefit from that statement.

Playing next to Harden increases House's value everyday. Sitting in the G-League does the opposite.

Morey will not use Rockets organization to increase House's value so he could be a free agent next year.

Nor should Morey and the Rockets.

Contracts need to be mutually beneficial.
