Case for MVP: The media likes to trash James Harden's defense but name a player this year that has gone off on him. James destroys his opponents. Dantoni's System: The same system he had with Melo and Kobe but they couldnt run with it because of ball dominance. The guy that mastered his system previously in Nash has 2 MVPS!! Other Candidates: Lebron is a Hall of Famer but he is winning in the East. Kyrie is a good player but the Celtics as a team has something to do with that. Game 6 against San Antonio: A lowlight in his career but Kobe also didnt show up in a playoff game against Phoenix. Lebron froze in many playoff games. He has multiple MVPs.
This year is the last chances to get MVP, because Leborn may join next year. I dont think they will give it to Harden after Leborn joining
Anybody can repost me that tweet of a dude saying Harden iso plays are producing like 1.28 ppp which is better than Curry stuff etc? I remember seeing it few days ago but i can't find it @J.R. i need your help lol
What i've noticed is Harden has actually won over alot of the opposition fans who over the years viewd him in a negative light so i think the media is probaly is in the same boat.
Those stats are on stats.nba.com. Just got to explore the drop down menus: http://on.nba.com/2hyknDt Min. 15 games played: http://on.nba.com/2yVXLq5 The Rockets have an ISO heavy offense, which is very different compared to what GSW runs. The only player who is remotely comparable to Harden this year on isolations is LeBron.
I don't think this is the tweet you're referring to (since it's from last night & not a few days ago ) but...
Excuse you? PP has not been saying Harden’s the best player nor MVP, maybe once and Barkley has actually given Harden a lot of credit and his MVP almost every single broadcast.
PP called Harden the best player on the planet on the jump just a few days ago.BTW, Barkley the senile fool rates Thompson higher then Harden. What credit?

1:56 for all the people saying "but the defense tho" and "Lebron should win MVP" in the same breath I'm not talking about ClutchFans, but other experts on facebook and co.
It would be interesting to see if there is a way to quantify how often our isolation are based off on switches. Houston's deadliest weapon so far has been creating mismatches for Harden to take advantage of. I noticed that a good chunk of isolation this season from Harden takes place when he is guarded by a smaller, weaker defender or a bigger, slower defender.
