ESPN openly admitting that MVP is not based on best player/production but based on a "narrative". What a shitstorm. And their other favorite is a thug douche bag. And it's not just Lakers and Lebron shills Shelbourne and Windhorst but almost everyone at ESPN. https://brobible.com/sports/article/espn-ramona-shelburne-lebron-james-mvp-narratives/
Tf? How do u give Lebron a MVP boost because of Kobe’s death like it didn’t affect so many players in the league? Ramona Shelburne is still employed? What else does she do other than give us 1 or 2 Lakers puff pieces a year?
"I tend to be a narrative-based voter" ... Shelbourne just outright admits it. I respect the honesty. Rather than massaging the stats to fit a narrative, at least she is direct about it. LeBron should be distant second or third in MVP voting this year. I'm guessing the votes that he gets will be mostly from people working in and around the LA market.
Didn’t the NBA take away votes from everyone with any affiliation with the Rockets other than Tim McMahon just a few years ago? Meanwhile, they got LA-based media having a monopoly on the vote. How many ESPN people have votes these days?
NBA is the only major sports league in america that uses narratives to determine their most outstanding player. Narrative is a word someone would associate with pro wrestling
nba awards, all star all nba, player of the week/month should be decided by computers who use different advanced stats to determine the rightful winner
Hey NBA fans, your MVP threatens to F up his coach and shows off his blowjob bell. His twitter going off on Lebron and deceased Kobe was supposedly hacked.
Elhassan, Isola and Termine didn't even have Harden in their MVP Top 5. Ridiculous. https://okcthunderwire.usatoday.com...uard-chris-paul-made-some-voters-mvp-ballots/
Not really. I think the NFL MVP is totally narrative, but it has OPOY and DPOY to make up for it. I also feel MLB MVP is narrative, especially given how much importance the stretch run is given.
I hope Harden can shoot 60 plus in the last 2 matches in order to break Michael Jordan highest average score record. I believe Harden can do that, it depends on MDA try to limit his minutes or not
