Watching Clint progress the last 3 years has been awesome. There is nothing better than drafting a guy with potential, and then watching him grow into a solid NBA player. I don't know about you guys, but watching him battle down low and swat away 2.5 shots a game in the playoffs had me feeling like a proud Rocket Daddy. It couldn't happen to a better person. Crossing my fingers for more development success stories out of our youth stockade.
He's gotten significantly better from last year to this year after getting significantly better from his rookie year to last year. Hope that trend continues.
Me too. And he seemed to step it up as the playoffs went on too. We finally saw the rim protection that he flashed as a rookie.
Happy Birthday, CC! You've come a long way baby! Before, he had major help down low, when he was on the court. Now, he's blossoming into a true 5. While still maturing physically and mentally, he's turning into a helluva player (overcoming injury)....This would be his rookie season if he was coming out of school. Love it! Great job by DM.
Yup Capela has been awesome. Brings much needed rebounding and shot blocking to the the team. Dekker/Harrell are both a reliable 3pt jumper away from becoming good role players. Who knows if that will ever happen though.
This kids play during the postseason was one of the few positives I took away. Replaced Dwert almost seamlessly this year. HBD to our long term solution at center!
Incoming long essay post from _holic on why Clint Capela is the worst big man in the league... Happy birthday CC!
23 years old? This guy is finished, he will never improve on his weaknesses and everything he contributes is only possible because of James Harden, although James Harden is not a sufficient playmaker.
Happy Birthday Big Clint! Rockets fans are behind you except for that weirdo _holic In b4 another _holic derail about CC
Happy birthday, Clint! Now give us 30+ effective minutes in the middle and 60% at the line. I'll be watching!
