Well, grit and grind was a transformative movement in Memphis. It made the grizzlies household names and it defined Memphis as the grindhouse.
Now zbo is gone and likely tony is next. I'm sad.

I wonder when the Grizzlies will move the team to a better market. Seattle, maybe?

The passing of a little known, little accomplished movement that nobody will miss. Hey, at least you'll have Parsons on the bench in street clothes.

Come on guys, don't be salty. The Grizzlies had a great run and they played at their own style and pace, gotta respect that.

If only they kept Rudy Gay, maybe they would have made it further than the WCF that they made once and got swept.

Wish your team the best of luck. Sad to see zbo not retire a grizz.

Was the signing that ended it all. Respect for the Grizz.

Call me crazy but I always thought Zbo was overrated AF on the Grizz. If they paid a guy like Ppat or Amir Johnson he would contribute as much as Zbo did.

The only problem the grizz have they are locked with one of the worst contracts in the league in portions.

I remember when Memphis went that route. Said on these boards they would compete hard and win 50 games but never win anything. Sadly I was right... but still enjoyed watching them.

Grizz can't rebuild because no way to rebuild by keeping Gasol/Conley and untradeable Parsons. They can't contend thanks to Parsons. If I were them, I would be doing some extreme rebuilding, i.e. before any rumors get out trade Gasol and Conley in the same week. Do a sign and trade for Green, get an expiring and 2 2nd rounders whatever. Tank hard for 2 consecutive years.

In the meantime, make Parsons play 48 minutes a night because he f*cked the franchise just as much as their medical staff f*cked them.

I agree that they need to deal Gasol and Conley while they still have value and so the Grizzlies can maximize their own lottery pick.

Their own lottery pick and the assets they could get for Gasol and Conley would put them a long way into rebuilding. Hell with the cap space from moving Conley and Gasol, they could take on bad contracts for additional assets.

Without Gasol and Conley, and with Randolph and Allen gone, the Grizz would all but be guaranteed one of the top 4 picks.
