(Not sure where to post this but move to another thread if necessary)

So I'm going to my first Rockets game against the Trailblazers on the 22nd and was wondering about what I need to be knowledgeable about prior to going. Should I pre-game? Should I buy beer at the Toyata Center? Etc.

    TL;DR
Going to my first game. What do I need to know.

    Make sure you wear pants.

I can tell you that first-hand.

is this your first basketball game or just your first rockets game?

beer at toyota center is expensive like it is at every venue.

As far as I know, there's not a whole lot of pre-game stuff going on. There might be a band outside or something, but I want to say this is usually during the playoffs. It's not like people tailgate for Rockets games.

If the whole "arena experience" doesn't interest you too much, eat beforehand because you can't bring food in. As you probably know, arena food is expensive and some of it is not that good. A beer will run you 7 bucks.

If you're sitting in the lower level, avoid screaming or shouting or showing any enthusiasm for game or you may be asked to leave. :p

    First basketball game.

I'm actually sitting in Section 113, so I'm assuming it's on the lower levels.

Run out on the court. If you do, you get free access to the Toyota center basement.

Be loud. Heckle. Be a fan! It's so frustrating when people are super docile during a game. Your energy will be contagious and others will start cheering louder too!

My first game was in the nosebleeds during Pippen's first game as a Trailblazer back in Houston. It was so fun to boo the heck out of him.

It's a freezer in there so bring a jacket, and I hope you're not seated near the Red Rowdies. Your ears will be ringing all night.

So a buddy of mine brought up the idea of heckling the crap out of LMA and Lillard.

Apparently, you don't need your shirt.

I don't know if this was the same guy at the Kings game a few weeks ago, but judging by his pasty white skin, it could be him. He started doing the same exact thing.

This. I had season tickets above the tunnel the 2004-2005 season & the crowd would be dead quiet besides me, but occasionally my cheering would get a few other people to join in. Lately the crowd has been way better. So be loud & obnoxious & hopefully the whole section will join! :D
