Peterson would be a tremendous addition to our defense. Yes, we need help at OT, but we also need help at CB. He would be a game changer with our front 7. I'd do a 2nd next year and a 4th or 5th the following year, and throw in Kevin Johnson.

People acting like we only need OTs kill me. We need CBs too. We aren’t getting 3 OTs with our first 3 picks. I would trade a 2nd rounder for him.

Was the same way during the Carr era. Carr was forgiven for a multitude of sins because his OL was awful. Turns out, both can be bad at the same time!!! It's not mutually exclusive!

Why the **** would you pass on a stud CB because "we need OL more". That's asinine. And also, who cares if we've given away picks over the years? You're not getting anybody as special as Peterson with the picks you're giving up.

The Texans have the need, the money, and the extra picks to make this happen, it would be football malpractice to not get the deal done.

    One in the first
2 in the second (one is from the seahawks)
one is each of the rest of the rounds.

Yes we do!!!! How many years can we possibly continue having one of the worst offensive lines in the league if we don't make fixing it a priority? Enough is enough. We say this year after year as quarterbacks enter the revolving door of no return. It's like that old video by Pink Floyd "Another Brick in the Wall" where the people all go into a meat grinder with our quarterbacks. Watson is on that treadmill with each hit and sack.

But, a chance at a CB who will make a difference is exciting, so I am for it,

Let's just go with this team and get a high draft pick and draft OL in the 1st 2 rounds just like Pancakes is saying below -

I'm not totally against getting Peterson. I'm just hesitant of giving away 2nd round picks to get it done. Even that 3rd rounder is valuable to us at this point. There will be some top linemen at all 3 of those spots. I would still be kind of like "meh" if they only gave up one 2nd rounder, but I wouldn't be too upset about it.
Still I don't trust the Texans to make such a wow move like this at this time. I would be surprised.

I take McClain's opinion with a grain of salt far too often. Any of us could have made that prediction. His silly grading system each week makes no sense half the time when you compare the grades to the overall grade he gives.

There's not a 2nd round CB you could pick up that would be superior to Peterson.
