It's become the highlight of my day.

In all seriousness, it has made the mobile version nearly unusable.

Happening to me too. Making the mobile site pretty much impossible to use.

I get this on my iPhone, about once a week.

Here is what I noticed. I start on the front page. Click Forums. Forum displays but has not completed downloading all of its junk. I select a subforum and then the ad happens. I eventually get the back button to work and I land back on the front page.

I have never had this happen after the forum is 100% loaded.

I saw this today on my iPhone for the first time. I need to update the OS, so maybe that'll fix it. Never have a problem with my PC. Thanks for working on it, Clutch!

OK, glad I found this thread before starting up a new one. I am only getting on my unrooted phone (S6), not on either rooted tablet or laptops and I thought it was only popping up on Chrome so I am experimenting with other browsers (Chrome Beta, Dolphin, and Ghostify Browser so far). So far Ghostify seems to avoid all the pop-ups.

has anyone found a different browser that works... one that has a import bookmarks from Chrome capability? Or any settings suggestions (Chrome's own block pop-ups setting is ineffective)?

FWIW- I'm running Android/chrome/unrooted LG and it's been pretty bad the last couple days for me. Hitting "Request Desktop Site" has fixed it so far. We'll see though.....

Not sure what y'all complaining about. I win about $1000 every hour. I am only 12 but I see myself retiring very very soon.

@Clutch - would it be possible to block the offending 'redirect' domains via CF.net's Google AdSense account?

This was the suggestion from the "AdSense Help Forum - Google ads redirect my site to another site" thread:

AdSense Help - Block Ads by Advertiser URL

    https://support.google.com/adsense/answer/164657
"You can prevent ads from specific advertiser URLs from showing on your site on the Allow & block ads page in your AdSense account. The maximum number of advertiser URLs you can block is 500 per AdSense product. You can apply your 500 blocks at the site level or at the product level and in any combination you like up to the limit."

Some of the 'redirect' problem domains are registered to 'Chad N. Wessels' ← (click for list of domains associated with this name)

From [ClutchFans Feedback] Weird "Important Chrome Update" screen thread:

Great suggestions. Nice fine regarding Chad Weasle.

btw: aren't auto-redirects against the policy of Google AdWords. So, seems you can also report Chad the Weasle, as well. no?

There's a procedure in place to report problem ads/redirects/malvertising regarding AdWords:
AdWords Help - Feedback on AdWords ads

Are redirects against policy? I think so...
Advertising Policies Help - Abusing the ad Network
    "Webmaster Guidelines
    The following is not allowed:
[IMG] Engaging in practices that violate the Google Webmaster Guidelines
Examples: Keyword stuffing, cloaking, sneaky redirects, doorway pages, spamming social network sites"

Yeah, and these are auto-redirects sometimes. Those are definitely not allowed. It's not like the ppl complaining here are clicking anything. It will just happen while sitting on a page with an ad.

Right, they're auto redirects. I was able to recreate the fake 'Urgent Chrome update' redirect that @topfive originally posted about before...

Happens only on my android while using Chrome. This has been going on for maybe half a year now, but it's 100% redirected nowadays w/in 3 minutes of browsing, but again only with android and Chrome for me.

I'm going to start using Chrome on mobile to see if I can find it. I use a standard internet browser on mobile. I have seen it, but like maybe twice this year. I obviously don't want redirects on the site... it's a disaster for me, but it's tough to find.
