Foltynewicz had a pretty rough outing in his first playoff game. 2 innings, 3 hits, 3 BB, 4 ER. K'd 5, though.
He's probably a reliever or stuck moving back and forth between minor leagues and major leagues if he were still here. Beyond having JD, I think the former Astro in the postseason I'd most like to have is Steve Pearce.
Ok, you got me on a technicality. I said it at the time, he was the one player in that trade I was going to miss.
Yall remember Eric Kratz's 14 game Astros career in '16, right? I know I did? I love stuff like this. Nobody can ever take that away from him, great story for the grandkids.
I recall arguing with those that like to argue about Sunday. Sunday came through big time on a Friday, nice to see that. Now my body is ready for Saturday. Whatever happened to that kid, Tuesday?
Hmm, four out of the five teams in the AL West are now managed by former catchers, and two of those four teams are managed by former Astros catchers.
Confirmation of what a complete joke the MLB award selection process is. JD Martinez won 2 silver sluggers this season. One as a DH, and one as an OF.
Great pickup for Baltimore. Ruiz still has upside. Would have been great for Houston to get him since he still has options and they have 40 man room. Mildly surprised Atlanta designated him already.
Saying he has upside is sorta like saying A.J. Reed has upside. Both may be true. Both could also simply remain where they are... But yes, you do need an organization looking to tank to generate a bunch of free time for experiements, or for guys that would not have otherwise earned a spot in the big league.
