I went to the 2006 WC in Germany, one of the best times of my life. Sadly, I wouldn't feel safe in SA, so I didn't go to this one. :(

Anyways, go Mexico / USA! Can't wait!

Thanks, homie! First game is only around one month away. Plus, it's never too early to start talking about the biggest event in the world's most popular sport that comes along once every four years. My pick to go all the way is Brazil. Watch out for Holland, Spain, and Argentina.

    I can't wait, I'm excited as hell!

Here's Coca Cola's official song for the World Cup:

    K'Naan - Wavin' Flag

    <object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/GbPZDEx-8-Q&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/GbPZDEx-8-Q&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object>

    Better version in my opinion:

    <object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/utl-uOdX12w&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/utl-uOdX12w&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object>

Here's Fifa's official song for the World Cup:

    Shakira - Waka Waka

    <object width="640" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/_ztr96RbMW8&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/_ztr96RbMW8&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="640" height="385"></embed></object>

    Spanish Version

    <object width="640" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/nm5KDssdr90&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/nm5KDssdr90&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="640" height="385"></embed></object>

Honorable mention to Akon's Oh Africa:

    <object width="640" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/YI4sDx6SGwA&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/YI4sDx6SGwA&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="640" height="385"></embed></object>

It's never too early to talk some World Cup soccer, my club team ManCity lost today, friggin Spurs. They placed outside the top 4 of the Premier league, meaning they won't be able to buy all the top talent out there, lucky for other clubs.

Its too bad the games won't be on during the evenings, won't be able to watch it live, unless you work strange hours.

I am eagerly anticipating the non-football news that will emerge out of South Africa, along with the World Cup of course.
