Guy is a tremendous asshat. The schtick is so old. Can’t understand how people tune in willingly to hear that jackass.

Isn't he dead-last in the ratings anyways? And now with John-Lance paired up, with the advantage of being on an FM station, I can't see how they think his schtick helps them.

If I'm Rick Smith, I'm giving Josh Innis a two piece. This is the type of stuff that warrants an ass beating.

Seeing the OL/Secondary and thinking this is a Championship contender is laughable.

I'm sure you just missed it, but I did specify "if healthy". If the Texans weren't missing 4 of their starting front 7 on defense, they get more pressure on QB's and make the job of the secondary MUCH easier so it wouldn't be as much of a problem. With those players out, you generate basically no QB pressure and that makes the problem look much worse than it otherwise would have. Even the best secondaries will crack if opposing QB's are able to camp out in the pocket and pick them apart.

As to the O line, if you had all of your offensive weapons healthy, it wouldn't really matter....even with someone as incompetent as BOB running the show. Watson can almost single handedly make the Texans one of the best offenses in the league.

Not sure if it's more than a leave of absence...

...I am absolutely intend on coming back, I will maintain that at least the Executive Vice President title and if Mr. McNair feels like he wants to hire a general manager, then he will hire a general manager and that will be just fine.

Could just hire a temporary guy and then go forward with what would have happened now postponed for a year or two.

Really need a McNair to answer. It's about time Cal gets under the lights.

Who do you think Cal is going to side with? His best friend and Godfather of his kid.... or the BOB faction.

I would be very surprised if Smith doesn’t get what he wants.

Smith will not come back as GM. He will be a E-VP. They will hire a GM. Smith can still help the organization. He has a knack for finding Undrafted FAs and 1st rounders.

And if the team is bad again next year, he'll have more leverage.

    It's a mess.

At this point I just want McNair to sell the team.

If he comes back in that role then the blame game will just start all over again.

The fact that 790 chose this a-hole over the intelligent, classy Charlie P shows where we are as a society. Innes is the obnoxious drunk loudmouth at the end of the bar who talks out of his a$$ MOST OF THE TIME. I have shut off 790 of during his time slot.

    I'm pot-committed.

In retrospect should have focused on Astros.

@Nook...is he competent? I don't know who that is. I couldn't care less what he looks like, football has repeatedly proven that is not a requirement.

    Is that Brian Gaine?

Well he already worked here during some of the worst decisions
