I don't mind taking mostly threes and layups but we need more ball movement. If we had a coach hat stress that we would sweep the warriors. I think we have more talent and we are actually deeper. Joe Johnson was a beast last year in the playoffs, and he can't even get off the bench. That's how deep we are.

If we lose to the greatest team ever assembled the coach is terrible!
If we beat them the coach is a genius!

The Rockets are playing the style they need to play, given the talents of Harden and Paul.

And the Warriors are doing the same, given the talents of their four stars and ancillary players.

That's 100% Moreyball. Should we fire Daryl Morey?

More ball movement also means more turnovers and, likely, more midrange shots from players who aren’t that great shooting them.

It ain’t Mike’s fault that Harden is a lazy no heart player when it matters

You can't coach making open layups... after YMCA youth ball.

Can't keep firing coaches. At some point it's time to look at the player's.

Raze it to the ground and start anew.

Hire Hinkie and win multiple chips beginning in 2032.

Trust the process (part 2) baby!!

Lol, you kidding? No coach should be fired over losing to the Warriors. What a ridiculous thread lol.

I actually support this take but for other reasons. Firstly Joe Johnson as a reliable player is done and he should not play but in garbage time, the issue I have with MDA is that this team is never prepared for anything. Its too bipolar. Well coached teams don't have these cold starts or offensive lapses. How the **** in game three of the western conference finals do you come out flat with no game plan in two out of three games? And if you had a game plan in game 2 why the **** don't you practice and implement that in game 3? There are never any tangible adjustments made, its always "we gotta play harder", when asked what his game plan was after a game he always says "they do what they do, we do what we do and we're gonna try and do what we do better than what they do". Bullshit. I believe this team would be in the same spot if George Karl, or Rick Adleman or honestly Steve Kerr. Steve Kerr is not a great coach but he doesn't have to be, he has superior talent, MDA has to out coach Kerr but he can't because he's not a strategist and he doen't understand that defense is the best way to beat the warriors.

Right, but you can't seriously say that this year/season is not the Rockets' best chance to win the title given the circumstances can you? I've felt this year unfortunately is a Championship or Bust because the Rockets have come too far and worked too hard to fall short.

That's why it's so frustrating to see them flush it away last night. Forget about what the Rockets did on the road in Utah or Minnesota...none of that matters at this point. They didn't even fight last night taking things for granted. It's going to come back and bite them at some point.

And I think this is the most frustrating thing. How do average joes know that game 2 is the blueprint and game 1 is the worst plan against Gsw?

How do professionals of the sport not realize or learn from the good things they have done or things that have worked? Why go back to iso? Because it’s safe and won’t turn the ball over?

Guess what? That’s what turns the damn ball over and runs down the clock everytime!!!

Watch game 4 they go back to moving It around and good things happen and then game 5 they will go back to iso ball SMDH!
