Still don't understand BoB's use of Foreman and Miller. Sure the fumble was bad but 4 carries? And it's not like he was held out right after that, his next 3 plays were a 25 yard run to set up a TD, 2 yard run, and then a reception for a 1st down and then BoB decides to pull him? Miller has played well the last 2 games but running him up the gut is just a waste of a play and is still being called in crucial parts of the game.
It's a lose-lose situation for obrien. If they win, he gets none of the credit. If they lose, he gets all of the blame.
He was gashing KC with the same plays. Fake jet sweep and have your RB dive between guard and tackle. Good play calling.
Miller had 6 carries up the middle for 38 yards. Foreman had 2 for 31. For the season, Miller - 26 carries 117 yards 4.5 ypc, Foreman - 12 carries 76 yards 6.3 ypc. Not trying to take anything away from Miller as both guys were running the ball well in the 1st half, just not sure why you pull Foreman with 7 min. left in the 3rd quarter right after getting you a 1st down. Not to mention that Watson has found Foreman on multiple occasions for big pass plays. If BoB is worried about ball security, it is more understandable. Other than that, running Miller up the middle in short yardage situation has been a big zero.
BoB trust Miller to be a great pass pro RB. He is going to be on the field more in come from behind situations.
bob is a dumb coach, but he was able to get 9-7 with 8 different qbs. it's just the afc south was getting stronger through draft and free agency, while gm rick smith was waddling in mediocrity that we end up with this sht of a team.
He went 9-7 with the talent Kubiak and Wade amassed. OBrien wanted Rick to be aggressive in free agency and draft, so here we are.
Smith built a contender in 2011. That window failed and he probably built one this year, but we lost our front 7. He has been a really good GM.
There's no way he builds that without Kubiak and wade. And this year's team was 8-9 wins with everyone healthy.
O'Brien did nothing wrong last night. The problem was the Texans' secondary and the special team. Also the JJ Watt injury brought down the Texans' confidence. The positve from that game is Deshaun Watson is not a quitter he is a real leader, motivator, and fun to watch.
Rick Smith is not a good gm, he is a medicore gm that takes pride in being medicore. That is why we always manage to win in the medicore AFC South and never go far in playoffs. If u can't see that then u need to take off the homer glasses. Now we might not even win the AFC south this year because his medicore built team is falling behind the improving AFC south teams. Injuries also played a role i guess.
