Oh hell yeah man, original is so badass, I played it when it came out and actually kept the manual/cd/box. I almost accidently bought the floppy version, so glad I lucked out and realized at the store. I've actually rebought the game a few times, hahah. But that game was so in depth and amazing for its time. Hell in some respects (minus the graphics) it still is today. The new Xcom games are great but they aren't as detailed as the original, especially since even if you read the manual.. There was no hand holding.

 

What exactly is this observatory thing? What does it have? I've never heard of one

 

Mainly it looks at and studies the sun.
