Why not give a spot to Kanter? $750K is too much? Injury happens. You never know. 14 points 11 rebounds in 26 minutes
Kanter might be the worst defensive center in the NBA and will be unplayable again come playoff time.
This. There are way too many casual fans on this board that don't bother to know the game more than just stats.
Dude Kanter chose Portland. It's not like he was going to Houston. It's some stupid delusional mentality that everybody wants to be on the Rockets Why are fans getting so dumb?
As a Blazers fan, I like the addition of Kanter for very specific moments and teams. He will help us out a ton, against specific teams, but is obviously unplayable against others. If Stotts plays the dude against you guys or GS, and I wouldn't put it past him, he deserves to be fired on the spot. Haha It does mean less Meyers Lemon, so that can only be a good thing. And honestly, his defense isn't a drop off from ML anyways..... oh Meyers..... I think Kanter will add a nice boost in limited minutes off of the bench, just have to keep the guy out of the pick and roll on defense by ANY means necessary.
Portland man. Wtf are they doing? They need to dump 4 players and start Jake Layman already. Just spinning their wheels and wasting Lillard’s time. Should have salary dumped Leonard, Harkless, Turner and Nurkic. All complete scrubs taking up $50 million + off your cap and flexibility. Play Layman/Aminu/Collins with Dame/CJ and re-shuffle the roster with some quality pieces. Hood and Kanter AINT IT! They basically have 4 Ryan Anderson’s on their roster.
I agree with 90% of this, aside from Nurk. Whether you like him or not, go check out defensive splits from before/after the Nurk addition. The guy is pretty crucial to what we have, even if he has a top 5 punchable face. Layman is going to get paid this offseason. Did not see this one coming.
