According to insidehoops Earl Watson wants out cuz westbrook sent him to the bench, you guys think hes a good option at the point. I looked at his % and his fg and 3pt looked pretty good. You guys think hes worth it? just a thought
I would rather to trade luther for rod from portland. We don't have salary n roster space to sign another free agent, even if that guy was bought we still would have salary space to sign him. Even if we signed him with LLE, that'd push us further into the lux tax zone. Luther is just a crap here but he may be still useful for some other team, rodriguez is asking for a trade so it'll not be too hard to get him.
Watson is bricking it as badly as Rafer is at the moment. Contract and situation IMO would have OKC make the trade in a heartbeat. Their rookies Westbroook & Weaver aren't considered strong playmakers and neither is Watson. I reckon the Bulls and Cavs are the teams to have a look at. Both have key big men on expiring contracts and upcoming unrestricted free agents looking for $10/+M contracts. Bulls: Ben Gordon, failed contract negotiations over 2 years. Gooden, expiring. Landry+Francis(expiring)+Wafer(non-guaranteed) for Gordon(BYC) Head(expiring) for Bull's TE($5.2M) Cavs: Anderson Varejao, very ugly contract negotiatons. Dan Fegan, his agent has gotten a bit of a black eye over recent dealings representing Varejao and Yi. Delonte West, BYC. Impossible to trade for by the Rockets on his own because of BYC status. See my signature below.
for those who hope earl watson would do anything to help this team is blinded by alston's poor play. I wouldn't think he would be much of an upgrade from alston, just lik blake isn't really an upgrade over alston either.
YEAH! That's exactly what we need a sub six-foot guard who provides neither height nor strength, perfect.
