Howard's denial is amazing. Still doesn't get it. Head shaking.

It's literally the same story every off-season with this clown.

From the article -- Is this a typo, or does he really mean after the WCF year???

At a low point with the Rockets, after the 2014–15 season, he considered retiring. The jolly giant who supposedly had too much fun on the floor was miserable. “The joy,” Howard says, “was sucked out of it.”
Such poor editing if that's a typo. Lack of respect to Rockets' history ... grrrr

man --- that article is tough to read. Howard is a troubled soul. I thought he had a solid relationship with his parents. I guess he didn't have any good mentors, and listened to the wrong people and developed his self-pity and blame game from lack of solid people around him.

Hard to care too much, though, because that is just all about a super-wealthy celebrity/athlete trying to control his image.

The narrative around Dwight Howard, as codified most recently in a kind of silly but enjoyable Lee Jenkins Redempt-O-Matic profilethat appeared on Sports Illustrated’s website yesterday, casts the 31-year-old center as something like a failure, a wayward basketball soul in need of hoops atonement and redemption. That narrative makes a kind of sense. It’s also largely bullshit.

Truly feel bad for him, I enjoyed most his time with us... one of the few free agents that picked us over LA, New York, GSW, i will always appreciate that. Playoff Dwight was a real thing, that Portland series he left it all on the court.

I hope he finds a home in Charlotte.

Actually, I think your narrative -- to say all those SI quotes of Howard is a bs narrative -- is the bs. I can read Howard quotes myself, thank you. Jenkins article is chock full of quotes from Howard and others close to him, but the deadspin article has no quotes ... just editorial narrative.

It's BS to claim Jenkins is creating a narrative when he out quotes you by 100 quotes to zero.

not you @KingCheetah, but the guy I/your were quoting.

Why is anyone surprised that Dwight left another team on bad terms?

Orlando, bad terms hated by his teammates
Lakers bad terms hated by his teammates
Houston bad terms hated by his teammates
Atlanta bad terms hated by his teammates

still think he's the man. It's like a 40 years old trying to pick up 20 years old thinking he's still young
