Random but I bumped into Duane Brown at a bar in midtown a few years back. Went to say wassup and shake his hand and he almost broke mine. Dude is huge

LOL no chance it would happen. The guy had an outside chance before he decided to actively try and sabotage the team but now he'll be forgotten about entirely in a few years. Think Dunta Robinson.

one of the greatest texans ever.

one of the very few first team all-pro players in the texans short history.

very big part of the texans first division title, playoff appearance, and playoff win.

    thanks duane.

Not to take way from Duane’s moment but this just proves yet again how great Deshaun’s character is.

Adios Duane, thanks for the many years of service. He had some injuries but I seem to remember him playing through quite a bit of injuries or rushing back to play sooner than expected to help the team. Keep fighting the fights that are worth fighting and leave the one's that aren't alone.

Let’s not pretend Duane wasn’t good for most of his career here. Yea the last few years his play declined but he was a top 5 LT for awhile in this league for us. He’s no hall of famer by any means but he was a way above average player during the schaub/kubiak era. My issue is the excessive holdout which imo is the ultimate reason he was traded. That’s what killed his goodwill here.

But kudos to Rick Smith, he got more than what I expected for him

Did you hear Chris Myers' radio interview this morning?

He focused mostly on OB's tough coaching style and how many of the veteran guys (including Duane) did not favor it when compared to Kubiak's.

LOL Duane Brown deserved better? That's hilarious. I'm so glad he's gone and if anyone wants to jerk off about things he has to say, they should do it in a different forum, he'll never be relevant to the Texans again.

He's like what would have happened if Royce White had played for a little while and been good before completely losing his mind.

Agreed. He was a guy that got popped twice for PED's who put politics and his demand that he get a new deal 2 years early ahead of football.
