Another reason to allow more immigration from Mexico. There are surely a lot of great people there who would like a chance to immigrate to a safer place like the United States. Let's help them get the refuge they seek. Then like so many other immigrants from Mexico they can help make America Great.

US was founded by Protestants. US has a large Catholic population...

How many Native Amercians were killed by Americans? Those Americans were pretty ruthless...

I’m just following you... you were the one to suggest Mexican violence is part of their culture because of Aztecs and Mayan.

It follows then that Americsn Protestants and Catholics have a culture of violence due to past transgressions....it was only 175 years ago when the Native Americans started getting wiped out. That’s far more recent than the Aztecs.... whoops.

The US updated its travel advisory due to the violence. So much winning.

Eight bodies — two dismembered — found in streets of Cancun, Mexican officials say

Officials in Mexico said Tuesday that they discovered eight bodies in multiple locations across Cancun, a popular beach resort city — and magnet for American tourists — on the Yucatán Peninsula.

At least one victim had been bound before being shot, while another was apparently killed while lying in a hammock, the Associated Press reported. Other victims were dumped on the streets, dismembered and stuffed into plastic bags, or left inside an abandoned taxi, according to the news agency.

All the bodies were found outside the resort city’s beachside hotel zone, according to the AP.

The grisly discoveries were at odds with Cancun’s reputation as a resort haven in the Mexican state of Quintana Roo, one that has typically been shielded from the violence that has plagued other parts of Mexico.

Yet another reason to accept more Mexican immigrants who are seeking refuge from the violence.

You cant honestly hope to take in everyone from areas that has violence or is in poor shape?

While you can give temporary succor for those displaced, the only viable long term solution is for them to fix their own countries (which you can aid them in doing where possible)

I think fixing their own country would be a huge help. One major way that we could do it would be to reform our drug laws so that the trade is much less profitable for the cartels.

    Does not take responsibility.
    Blames others.
Does not provide for its dependents.

Those, I tell you, are the characteristics of a deadbeat.

Mexico's Enrique Pena Nieto blames police for crime surge

Outgoing Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto on Monday blamed surging violence across the country on state and local police's inability to deal with smaller criminal networks that emerged after major cartel leaders were captured.

The federal government "had success in significantly reducing the capacity and size" of drug cartels, Nieto said in his final state of the union address.

"Unfortunately, this weakening brought with it small criminal groups, without there being the capacity on the local level to effectively confront them," the outgoing president added.
