Key word "GOOD".... not "okay", not "decent"

We won a crap division, whose best QB was injured most of the season and barely squeaked out the divisional title.

Winning the title itself is "good" because it adds more fabric to the rafters and sounds good historically, but we only a DECENT season IMO.

Props to Watt (DPOY), Hopkins (having the greatest WR season), Mercilus (coming out party), and Clowney (showing signs.... couldn't have gotten much compared to his first year)

Texans seem to have had a nice draft too.

Happy they got into the playoffs, but today just reminded me that non of this stuff matter unless we have a real chance to compete for the championship.

The Bengals been in the playoffs for the last 4-5 years, and have been bounced in the first round every time.

I don't ever want to be like the Bengals.

We need a QB. If this season didn't help us towards that, then yea it'll be consider a failure.

After this game, I say no. Playing in a **** division allowed this team to play in the playoffs and they showed they didn't belong today, especially on the offensive side of the ball. McNair should be pissed after this showing today.

    4 different starting QBs
DeAndre Hopkins only weapon worth a damn
    Mercilus breaking out
    You went 9-7
    It was a good season.

9-7; blown out in the first round; what did you really accomplish?
    5-1 in division; 4-6 out
4 blowout losses(mediocre Falcons, terrible Dolphins, good Patriots, OK Chiefs)
Bill O'Brien flipping QBs like he was flipping pancakes.
Bad losses to the Colts, Bills & Dolphins
Ugly offense, especially against the better teams(from these so-called offensive innovators)
Lost Arian Foster & Duane Brown to ugly injuries; Foster very may well be done here
    It wasn't a good season.

It was a whatever season, whatever that means.

Great season for McNair. Another home playoff game.

    Pretty much.

I really don't know what people expected of this team for them to be disappointed? It's like asking a Laker fan if they are having a good season or not? Last I checked this team was supposed to be in position to draft high. They fought like hell to get into the playoffs.

If Bill is a good coach it's going to click either next season or the season after that.

Was hoping after they started 2-5 that they'd pack it in and get a good draft pick to atleast act like they wanna draft a decent qb but they had to go and win a bunch of meaningless games. Wonder who next year's terrible qb will be. This team smh

No one outside of Houston expected the Texans to win today (ESPN had to make it interesting or no one would watch). Similarly, no one outside or inside of Houston had the Texans winning the division or making the playoffs this year. So for exceeding all reasonable expectations, I'd say it was a very good season.

I still say it was a good season, sure BOB shot the season in the foot by bringing in Hoyer and Mallett, but at least Hoyer got hurt often enough for the team to make the playoffs and win the division.

Hopefully BOB will have no say about what QB's we go after so that the team will have a real chance next year.

Nothing positive came out of the season.

We now have a high draft pick

Watt is getting older and not superman anymore

    We haven't developed a QB

The biggest national memory of the Houston Texans will be getting skunked 30-0.

Good regular season? Absolutely. 9-7 with rotating QBs and RBs is so hard to do.

Can't let it be skewed by this game

Given the talent on the team yes... We are below average all over the field so to win a division in spite of that yes. We had no business in the playoffs to begin with so I can't be to mad about the game today.

I'd also add that this is the worst time to put up a poll, asking this question.

Just like it would have been a bad time to post this same poll right after we beat the Jags.

Made the playoffs only because Luck missed nine games. From start of season, QB situation was an embarrassment. Thinking Hoyer was going to be even an adequate substitute for Fitz is a more than enough reason to completely clean house, both FO and coaching staff.

Team is a joke. McNair has offered no proof that he isn't completely clueless on how to build a SB team, and no one expects the Texans to address their most important need - QB - because they've never even given a hint that they have the vaguest idea on how to do that.

And that's just the tip of the iceberg. It's literally so bad, and has been so bad for so long, that fans aren't excited about the draft or free agency. No one believes the Texans know what they are doing other than to toss #### at the wall and see what sticks.

Colts were 2-5 with Luck, 6-3 with Hasselbeck / Whitehurst. Hard to argue that with Luck, they would have been better.
