He may be looking at it from a different point of view now that he's seen him practice and play consistently rather than on film and at combines/pro-days.

I agree with you though, there was legitimacy to his accuracy concerns but nothing that can't be fixed with proper tutoring and work ethic which he's gotten both of from the sounds of it.

Watson is the hope and dream of Houston sports fandom!!

There's a growing feeling of this guy might be the real deal.

Still have to wait and see...

Peyton Manning accurately threw 28 interceptions in his rookie season. Ouch Brett Favre is the king of interceptions. Dude was always trying to throw into tight windows. The Gunslinger. Lol but man when it worked it was a thing of beauty.

Very weird indeed. Im guessing he didn't want anyone to sustain a major injury.

I just hope the Texans have the patience. Watson could definitely turn out to be like them.

Who cares if the coach ends OTAs a day early? He's got a rookie SECOND string quarterback who, in a solid month in the building, has proven to everyone that he has an insane work ethic. One day in shorts and shirts is not going to make or break the kid, or the team.

I'm sick of seeing the same people over and over again, bashing every decision the head coach makes. Who cares? Lol

I was just curious. I'm sick of seeing a crappy offense.

Don't you think it's weird? What's the reason? It's also Nick Martin's first camp

    Posted on TexansTalk:

From Lance Zerlein's Radio 790 Podcast this morning:

    "Deshaun... Deshaun's not ready.

Being out at that practice, it's just... you know, completions are not where they need to be. On air. I'm talking about just on air, no pads, no defenders.

It's just ball placement. A lot of throws are going high, a lot of sailed throws. That was his problem in college, too. Just a lot of sailed throws on simple slants.

He just needs to keep working on it. It looked like he's not striding as long, I'm sure the coaches will get with him on that stride length and try to tighten that up.

He made some good throws, too. Deshaun has great presence on the field."

It's no contact or pads right?

Actually looked forward to negative feedback. Everyone seems to always say good during mini camp. Let's hear the negatives too.

No. It's one day in shells. Makes no difference on the season.

All the positives have been about how hard he works and how he throws the ball "with a purpose".

So I suspect Lance is right.

To me it's all about live in game performances. The nerds always look smart and hall of fame worthy in practice. Hopefully Deshaun is the reverse of this.

Looks strangely familiar... What's wrong with Watson?
Exactly, did local media tell us that Icewater was sucking big ones in training camp? Because he did.

Can't trust the Texans beat guys. They cover up the negatives, pump up the positives. They're more worried about keeping their jobs than telling truths. Keep the cash machine flowing for McNairs, repeat what Rick tells them and your editor doesn't get any complaints from the front office.

Go along to get along and everybody keeps their paychecks. Except the fans.

Yep, I don't put much into the "reports" that come out of shirts and shorts camp. People going into reporting now a days with agendas, whether they are good or bad they're all looking for one thing, CLICKS.

I want to see what these guys can do in pads and I didn't expect Watson to be ahead of anyone at this point in camp. He's got a sh**load to learn.

That's true, but nobody has said he is accurate so far.
