I think that is a great spot for him and the Cavs. Deron Williams gave them NOTHING in playoffs.

Prime D-Rose and Lebron would have been amazing to watch. Rose was one of my favorite non Rockets in his heyday

I still like the dynamic he would bring to Milwaukee. I think with Rose the Bucks could take the Cavs out in seven games

From MVP of the league to one year deals. Sheesh. Will be a good fit since Williams didn't do nothing for them.

spacing might be a problem though. he could be a good backup point for us with our spacing opening up the driving lanes for him

The Cavaliers tax bill would increase from $71.8M to $83.4M if the remaining tax ML is used. Rose would cost $14.1M (salary + tax).

Guess this means Deron Williams is done.

Derrick is a better player at this point, but not a better fit.

This makes no sense for Rose financially and even less sense for Cleveland

I think the teams with money (are there any left?) don't want him. In the current NBA landscape, rose is a minimum salary player, so might as well sign with the best team that will take him.

If he's only going for the minimum why does we try and sign him? We have virtually no depth at the PG position and he's decent insurance if anyone goes down. He did average 18+ last year. He's not the same player he used to be but he's still serviceable.

    My guess is

    a) he doesn't fit our game plan. Rockets don't have use for a guard who doesn't shoot 3 ball. Taylor doesn't shoot it well either but I think D'Antoni just won't play him and the Rockets at least have hope he'll develop, whereas Rose is pretty much what he is at this point.

    b) maybe houston isn't as attractive to him. He'd be 3rd string PG here, but backup with a legit role in Cleveland.
