That's what you got from this? I got the exact opposite. It seems to me that the owner who is clueless about the nba and more familiar with the NFL was vivid for the Pelicans catering to AD. Demps was the one who wanted to do the trade. Anyway, if they hire Ferry that will be for the best. He's an amazing GM and negotiator.
Magic Johnson rip Demps by not acting in a good faith. If owners don't want to deal Davis to Lakers, he should not discuss the deal with Magic Johnson.
hahahahah if only. Imagine Ainge trying to rip off his right hand man who has complete knowledge of everything that goes on that Celtics lockeroom.
Shoulda titled this Demps Dumped. Or.. "Here I sit, broken hearted, tried to Demp, but now he's parted."
[Wojnarowski] New Orleans owner Gayle Benson has been angry over the Davis trade demand and her belief that "outside forces" are trying to push the franchise into decisions that don't make sense for them. Her mandate has been to "take back control from outside forces," one league source told ESPN.
Demps wanted to deal AD to the Lakers. Ownership and Ferry are the ones that did not want to make a deal right away. This will get interesting. Ferry is endeared with Loomis because he took a hardline. I would not be shocked if he is the next GM.
I mean, Davis wanting out isn't unprecedented in today's NBA. It's quickly becoming the norm. I feel sorry for ownership, but come on. Again, I get the anger, but all you can do is surround yourself by the right people and ride it out. Maybe getting rid of Demps is the best move, but we all knew someone had to take the fall here.
https://theathletic.com/820688/2019...mps-and-whats-next-in-the-anthony-davis-saga/ It basically says that Davis left the building when he got.."injured" and told only Demps who didn't bother to inform anyone else including Gentry. Benson saw it and got pissed off because she believes he should have waited to leave after the game.
lol this meme will still continue to make me laugh. on a serious note, Demps was a dead man walking whether or not he traded AD anyways. If he traded Davis to LA there's no way he was going to stick around for the rebuild. As for GMs, they can do a lot worse than Danny Ferry at this point. They should really take a hard look at David Griffin.
Oh, so they're going to put former and current Lebron Lackey Danny Ferry into the front office. Consider AD giftwrapped to the Lakers then.
