Boogie is a big dude but I don’t think he was anywhere close to 350lbs.

    I don’t even think he was 300lbs.

Either way he def was never the best athlete but he was skilled for a guy his size.

Pretty big bummer we will never see him at his Allstar level most likely ever again.

It’s like with Yao, Grant Hill, Brandon Roy, those guys had so much talent and showed it on the court but they’re peaks and some careers were just so short but they showed they were elite that’s were boogie is heading a big what if.

Pretty sure he’ll get back on the court and ACL tear isn’t that big of a deal anymore but he’s so massive and approaching his 30s so he’s prob just a 20 min a night role player at best moving forward.

His career is over. China here he comes. He signed a vet min with lakers which was only team that wanted him after this no one wants him. In two years 3 bad injuries.

Sucks, totally not deserved. Dude could be a knucklehead at times but he had a lot of heart.

I don't think he was chasing a ring, so much as picking the team that made the best fit for his future.

of course he was chasing a ring. GS was never some long term future for him. he wanted to hop on the easy way out to get a ring while being able to take all the time he needs to get back on the court. All the reason for signing a year deal

Fair point, but various big men have had pretty injury free careers. Karl Malone. Charles Barkley.

It's the tall guys that seem to have issues.

I’m going for a combo of a MBA and CFA charter. So I’m trying to make decent money at least.

    100%

    I’m worried about him.

He better take care of his body and nutrition and focus on that just as much is not more than trying to improve his game.

He could easily balloon up to well over 300 lbs if he’s not careful.

Turn into another tractor trailer fat boy baller.

If he can be 265 for now I think he’ll be just fine but 280+ is just way to heavy for a non center who’s game is predicted on speed and lateral movement

Anyone as absurdly explosive as Zion will always be a massive injury risk. It would be amazing If he avoided injuries the way he explodes all over the court.

GS didn't have to be a long term future for him for playing for them to be beneficial to his career. Quite the opposite in fact. Playing on GS gets you noticed by other teams..and that you aren't a long term fit there makes you available. Plus, why wouldn't he be a long term fit there? GS's biggest need is at center. Depends on the money he expected to get.

So, no, it takes a lot more than that to say 'of course he was chasing a ring'.

Correct. Your issue with that is? You probably inferred that picking the best team for his future meant choosing that team now...when it doesn't. It means just what is says...picking the team that best positioned him for the future. Why wouldn't that team have been GS? What better team to showcase your talent on?

so being on a team with klay, kd, steph, draymond is the best team to "showcase" umm no. if you're actually try to showcase yourself you go to a team that's put you as a more focal point with the ball. hes nowhere close to that being around those guys. why in the world would he sign a 1 year deal if GS was the best team positioned for the future. that makes 0 sense. oh nvm there's a reason why, bc he was chasing a ring. the end literally for him
