He flip flopped a tad on that but the lack of bball news makes it outlandish.

    Not really interesting.

They should make reality TV 'covid 19 lockout' mini series.

He is right. His career, his risk.

Don't blame a man for doing what he thinks is right.

Might not want to get too comfortable. You may not be there for long

Whether or not right he’s always been a brat. Remember when he b****ed and moaned about not making the All-Star team?

I don’t get people like this. Blessed with insane talent, looks and now money and still it’s not enough.

Be humble, bro. If you had more respect your stance would be respected instead of viewed as another temper tantrum.

In a vacuum, I agree with you. But his decision affects what his other teammates think is right also. And if that is wanting to get to the playoffs, well, they are not getting there without Dame. So in essence, if he decides not to play, then he has decided for the rest of the team their fate as well.

Rodney Hood freed up Dame and McCollum.

Myers Leonard and maurice harkless covered up alot of Portland mistakes

Not a single person on that team plays defense.

Offensively they're ok, though not as good as they were (3rd last year, 10th this year), but defensively they're horrid (16th last year, 27th this year).

They have some solid defenders on the roster with guys like Ariza, Bazemore, Anthony Toliver and Whiteside.

The problem is in part that Lilard and McCollum are horrendous on defense and really cannot play together on a championship team IMO.

The Blazers would have been better surrounding Lilard with more physically gifted defenders that would help mask his defensive deficiencies. They did not do that, they attempted to surround him with other gifted offensive players and then just throw a couple wing defenders on the roster. The problem is that isn't enough..... further the pieces they have do not fit well together. Bazemore is an above average defender but he has defensive limitations with his size, and he isn't good enough to off set the back court defensive issues. Ariza is good on a team that runs a disciplined system, otherwise he throws his hands up like he has in Sacramento and Portland. Whiteside can keep the middle relatively empty but he lacks discipline.

It is just a bad mix.

His teamates don't matter, none of that matters - it is HIS life, HIS career, HIS choice.

Of course it is. My point is, if you were one of his teammates that actually wanted to win this year, how would you feel?

Didn't like how Dame threw Portland role players under bus after warriors swept his Ashe in the playoffs!
