Haven't read the entire thread, so maybe this was already posted, but here is a good comparison of how long other players have needed to come back from similar injuries. Grade 2 sprains average days missed is 43.6 An 'average" recovery time would take Steph through the 6th of May 14th of April is the start of playoffs 28th of April is the earliest the conference semi-finals can begin 13th of May is the earliest the conference finals can begin There is another good article about Curry's injury status here. Curry suffered a grade 1 sprain to his other knee in the 2016 playoffs. He came back after 15 days, but the playoffs without him were much more competitive than expected. Granted no Durant on that team, but the Warriors depth isn't as strong. When Curry returned, he obviously wasn't 100%. He lacked the explosiveness and went from unguard able from 3 point range, to merely very good. That carried into the finals where he shot 40% and failed to get past Kevin Love 3 times late in the 4th quarter of Game 7. This injury is worse, and it's reasonable to expect similar fall off even when he is healthy enough to get on the court.
Mr. Irrelevant was out all season. Which is why Nets have a better record this year without him. Had no idea that site existed. Good job giving up your hangout location. Lulz...
let s hope they get spurs or okc or the blazers, in the first round and second round, those teams can give them all they can handle! God i am willing to trade my soul to get this happening
Curry says he hopes to prove Kerr wrong and Kerr is emphatic that Curry is out of 1st round. Inconsistent answers which means the severity of the injury is more than 3 weeks. I hope he plays because Rockets have unfinished business with these Golden Boys. Even if he plays, his slashing and slicing to the lane won't be the same. I want my Rockets to spank these 4 All-Stars.
This really doesn't affect us at all. He will be back well in time to play us if we meet them in the WCF. I guess this increases the chances of them being upset in the first round, but I just don't see it as long as KD, Klay and Draymond are healthy.
They are so used to and dependent on the wide open shot from all of those screens and without Steph that spacing threat is gone. Now that Draymond and Iggy are not shooting well this season that is a ton of pressure on KD and Klay to handle the volume. I see more doubling on KD to force him to expend a lot of energy and not get easy penetration drives. Basically make him a 100% jumpshooter. The Blazers will smell blood in the 2nd round and that will be a long series. The Warriors embarrassed them badly last year and there is a lot of bad blood there.
He just said Curry out for the season indirectly. GSW would be foolish to play Curry, his quickness won't be the same this season if he plays. I hope he becomes the Curry of old so he can witness the next HP Dynasty.
I love how smug the Warriors are. Every thing they have said this season has come back to bite them in the ass.
You guys are hilarious. What do you expect him to say? 'Oh we are super duper ****ed now. Not sure why we are even taking the court against other teams without Steph.'
There is a difference between smug and confidence. I expect them to say exactly what they said. Warriors are a smug franchise.
