Auburn asst coach Chuck Person was indicted last fall and the talk all season was Bruce Pearl wasn't out of the woods if any of the allegetions to what was going on led back to him he has been fired from previous jobs for committing NCAA violations. It seems fishy to me given to see Davis announce he is taking his first official visit to Auburn soon as he gets his release.
Okay, that's good, thank you. Thought maybe Sampson was considering going there as well. I hope he stays here and continues to build the program.
great news! didn't see him leaving at all. ive been debating on getting season tickets at the new arena for this year to start. anyone else look into it as a possibility?
My sports budget is being taken up by the football season tickets. I definitely want to check out a game when the stadium opens, though.
been checking out the seating inside and theres a lot of good sections for good value. should be a pretty nice venue. right now the pricing isn't bad at all. itll go up if they continue their improvement in the next coming seasons which isn't surprising
Thanks for posting highlights. He looks solid and like he should be a nice addition. Looking forward to next year. Anything short of decent run in NCAA tournament will be a disappointment for me. I think Sampson is doing a great job putting our basketball program back to a level of respectability we haven't seen since the days of Phi Slamma Jamma.
Kevin McCullar is probably the main target: https://247sports.com/player/kevin-mccullar-46047723 Dimon Carrigan is probably the other: https://247sports.com/player/dimon-carrigan-46042909
definitely looking forward to this next season and the future. that opening night is going to be a great atmosphere
I just read a nice article on Houston Chronicle website regarding Sampson and their desire to keep him here and make this the place where he eventually retires. He has IMO did an outstanding job leading us to where we have not been since the days of Guy Lewis. I have a feeling that this coming season is going to be another great one for UH. I hope he will not be lured away by another program looking for a quick fix like what has happened to us all too often with the football program.
thats why i wasn't worried about the orlando magic rumors. sampson is well invested in putting UH bball back on the map and its going to continue for the foreseeable future
I couldn't see a team like Orlando that is going to be building through the draft hiring a 60 something year old first time NBA head coach.
Not really. It was announced back in March that he'd be transferring. He wasn't able to crack the rotation last year and likely wouldn't be able to crack the rotation this year with our guard talent. Also frees up a scholarship for us to use in recruiting for someone who can contribute.
