Both teams had five fouls with about 11 minutes left in the first half and then Houston got the next six. I think Kentucky picked up one more foul very late in the half. Kentucky built their lead in that time.

Obviously, Kentucky was good. Clearly Houston's most talented opponent. They shot well early. But the refs let them play far more physically. If Davis wasn't fouled on that late play then Washington and Travis should've had zero throw attempts. Davis drove in with like thirteen seconds left in the game, as well. It's not like it was a buzzer beater where officials don't want to decide the ending at the line.

Don’t like to blame the refs, but they played too big of a role in the outcome of this game.

That was certainly a tough way to go out, but things are on the move down there.

If they can lock up Sampson there will be more runs to come.

Anyone blaming the refs needs their eyes checked. Kentucky won fair and square.

in addition to the volume, this was rife with momentum killer /big swing calls...the subtle and not so subtle art.

We stepped up, and overcame it all...including the problems with their length.

While I'm disappointed in some ways, I'm not crushed.
For, I'm proud of this team.....and the way they played.

But, the real takeaway is the big picture. UH hoops is back in a massive way. It's been such a long wait....

Lost our best player...I'm heartbroken. We're already undersized and Chuma is our best defender. Somebody has to take up the slack.

I knew going into this game that Brady, White, and Gresham were going to be a liability. It was almost like they combined their powers and formed the world's worst basketball player. Woof.

Kentucky got a few extra (non)calls in a 4-point outcome.

    It's okay to acknowledge that.

I wish it was a blowout. Close losses feel so much worse. I think I jinxed them by buying a Sweet Sixteen shirt.

Loss still stings this morning but can’t lose sight of what a memorable season this was. Good things to look forward to in the future. Now the focus is on getting Sampson to stay and to conitinue on this journey he started
