ClutchFans Game Thread: Rockets @ Blazers 12/9/2017

Does anyone have highlights of the Blazers broadcast of that game. Watching announcers whine or gasp in awe while Harden goes off is a guilty pleasure of mine.

These are the type of fans that are going to turn on harden the second we lose a game lmao

 

Harden averaging 38 points on 53% from the field (12 made 23 attemp) and 43% from the 3pt line (4 made and 9 attemp) in december.

 

Along these lines - did you notice the first guy Harden looked for after the game? He immediately went for Tucker and the two of them had a conversation that looked there was some apologies/thanking going on. That’s a very mature response by two vets and particularly it’s nice to see from Harden.

Funny - I was watching that game thinking “who is supposed to be the help defender - there is literally no one there while Paul and Harden are getting layups”. It was interesting watching Houston specifically attack Portland’s lineup to play small with us - too many suspect defenders out there, too few help defenders. It was nice to see the coaching pick up on that and really exploit it.

...also big shout out to the NBA for making the change to the timeout rules. Houston got hot and in the past the opposing coach would have taken a zillion timeouts, strategize with his team, etc in the 4th but the new rules allowed Houston to keep cooking and that made a difference in being able to climb out of that deficit.

I'm way more impressed with these git check wins than the cruising wins. This is how you beat good teams. Portland has a badass defense and lillard had god mode engaged.

Also in our two road comeback dramatic wins gsw/Portland, Big Thiccness aka Tuck was a major player in both. That dude doesn't know the meaning of "quit"
