Chris Paul is on pace to be #4 of all time in Win Share per 48 minutes. Interestingly, James Harden on pace to be #10 of all time in Win Shares per 48 minutes.

That is two players in the top 10 of all time in the same season on the same team! That's crazy!

He is a star, not a superstar anymore, cannot score enough, 31 min ain't quite enough.

He's fantastic but he's no Harden.

James is a top 40 player off alltime imo and one of the 10 best players ever on the offensive side of the ball.

We've been spoiled watching him the last 5 years. We finally get to see what he truely means to this franchise and the results are in..... he is the franchise.

Harden is the best regular season performer but what about the deeper realms of the playoffs? Sure he has been very good but not consistently Top 2 or Top 3.

And he also had games where he had concussions, he seems to have concussions now and then.

With this cast turnovers will happen. Too many Butterfinger players. Still elite though.

So are you saying say if harden plays for the spurs he would average 0-1 turnovers instead of 5-6?

No but he wouldn't have set the record for the most in my opinion. 3-4 a game

There are times when it is hard for me to understand D'Antoni. Is it necessary to keep Paul so long on the court with an assured match? Actually, I do not understand it.

Umm how many elite players has harden had the luxury of playing with and helping him out in the postseason?

    Ya that's right 0.

Kobe Bryant was getting bounced in the first round under the same circumstance.

Wade was winning 40 games a year and losing in the first round before Lebron joined him.

Even Lebron who imo is the 2nd best player ever to play couldn't do it by himself.

Yes he had some nice runs in his solo act because he's the goat but he still fell in the 2nd and 3rd round every time.

Ppl rag on Harden for the playoffs but don't bother to look at the history of the game and see how the guys harden is compared to faired in the playoffs as solo acts.

Now harden has a true HOF caliber player who's not washed up to help him out.

We'll see how it goes but my guess is it will look just like all the other greats once the got real help.

Harden is an alltime great ppl need to except that and move on.

It's a lot more enjoyable to have a player like him and figure out how to build a team to help him out than to rag about some of his flaws that in all honesty are not a big deal.

Paul looks a little less than he was as a Clipper, we need Harden for sure. I am leery of giving a 32 year old a max contract. Love having his skill but he needs to have his minutes protected - to around 32 a game, looks noticeably slower to me.

For a 32 year old to look less than he did as a 31 year old, that's expected. Despite that, he looked fantastic coming fresh off the injury he sustained on opening night. Since his 2nd injury against the Spurs, the eyeball test shows he has been diminished. He isn't playing with the same bounce, speed or energy. Something is wrong...
