In all seriousness, the issue that I really have is when posters add threads with fake news click bait titles (i.e. "Breaking news Carmelo traded"). I can handle all of the other silly threads like "Poll which Melo thread is the best" or "How many Melo threads will there be," they may be silly or even distasteful but I don't think they are ban-worthy whereas knowingly starting a fake news thread to me is.

I think that the best way to solve this, absent constant moderator supervision, should be some sort of way for non-moderators to self correct these click bait threads. The way I envision this working would be to give a rating ratio for non-moderator users, the ratio would be the individuals liked posts over there reported (and moderator confirmed) posts. A user with at least 10 likes and a ratio of more than 10 to 1, would achieve a special status that I would refer to as "Reputable Poster." Then If a thread is reported by some number of "Reputable Posters" (i.e. 3+ pr 5+) the beginning of the thread title automatically changes to **SPAM** or **REPORTED** or some other action is taken (maybe the thread is locked and de-prioritized unless and until a moderator determines it was falsely). You could also temporarily block the poster from creating threads, maybe even leave the thread creation to "Reputable Posters".

Anyways this is my 2.5 cents on the matter...

Should have a thread rating system that hides low rated threads.

It would be no problem. Just locking the really terrible threads would be incredibly easy.

I was an NBA mod on a sports message board before I joined this one. I'll carry that burden again if need be.

I want to thank everyone in advance for my landslide victory in the poll to come.

Of course you do. I have told you repeatedly that you're the TC head janitor cleaning those nasty toilets at half time.

Sometimes I wish we had a reddit style vote up or down each comment feature.

Also this thread doesn't belong in the GARM. Lock it up mods!

I can vouch for @FTW Rockets FTW. He is truly a dedicated Chick-fil-A employee who holds Chick-fil-A sauce close to his heart and soul and is very good at handing out extra packets of polynesian sauce and Chick-fil-A sauce. Top notch customer service. He is also really good at cleaning it up off the floor when customers spill some! He really does clean all that **** up!

Its gotta be someone who is a respected poster whos been here for a while but also has a sense of humor.

We need someone to know where to draw the line but also someone that knows when its appropriate to joke. It'd be lame if we get mods that are TOO lock/ban happy.

Based on the posts that I've read recently

    I nominate @heypartner and @don grahamleone

You can't put a $ value to the experience

You get to hang out with Baby Boomers and CF legends like DaDa and tinman and other 99ers.
