JJ's biggest mistake was to have the first back surgery. Back surgery is one thing you avoid AT ALL COSTS imo unless there is absolutely NO other option. He should have taken the longer non-surgical rehab, but I understand he wanted to get back on the field as quick as possible. That's just JJ. With that said I don't know if he can regain that lightning quickness fully, especially change of direction, but I think it's entirely possible to get back to pro bowl form or even all-pro. Just I don't know if we'll see all-world JJ again. But 10-12 sacks with lots of tfl's and qbp's would still help this team greatly. I just wonder if Romeo will want him to stop free-lancing as much as he used to.
I just want JJ to have a healthy season. Don't care if he's an All-Pro this year, just want him in the line-up doing his thing. He deserves a healthy season after all he's been through and what he did for the city after Harvey.
Worst part is, you can't troll him back because he's just a Rockets/Harden fan, and so am I. I don't want to boast on him that Harden loses or anything.
Hes a piece of garbage and we all know he’s lost at the game of life. No trolling back necessary. Just a hunch but something tells me he hates Watt because he is a white superstar and the city loves him more than anyone.
This so much, if he was black it wouldn’t be an issue. He’d be pumping him up like Harden. You notice he talks the most about JJ and doesn’t give any props to the champions in our city, Altuve, Correa, Springer. Don’t think they’re the right skin tone for him
I don't think he has the durability or stamina to be a super star, but he will definitely contribute. I say use him as a big blocking tight end. He can catch the ball well.
Ugh, i miss committed celibate jj watt. It all started going down hill with injuries after he got a gf and started wasting his Aryan Chi busting nuts on that one soccer girl.
J.J, may or may not, be able to return to the level of football player he was pre injury. But he will always be a superstar.
if jj watt can gives us one more dominant season, Texans are going to the Super Bowl this year. This Texans team doesn't have a glaring weakness. i expect Davenport to be a stud in LT.
The dude is an exceptionally honorable guy. But damn, his body is too damaged to be a force in the NFL again. He can't handle the training he put his body thru to be at the level he use to be...and that is what made him so great. I hate to say it, but I'd be surprised if he was even moderately relevant again in the league.
i don't follow football, but what is jj's equivalent in the nba? was he like a lerbon when he started, then got greg odened and is now carmelo anthony?
I would say Kwahi Leonard. Watt was considered a lottery pick, but not a superstar, but through hard work made himself into a super star.
