    So from the article:

    1- expand Medicare for the poor and disabled to illegal immigrants
    2- give $100 monthly to middle class earners who haealth ins (mini focused yang program)
    3- tax those without health ins to pay for part of 2


    2&3 is probably more controversial and has a greater impact (both $ and people) on Californian than 1. California continue to try new things ... we’ll see how it works out in the long run

    Here's the thing.

    Illegal or not -- it costs us all way more to have people be sick, injured, or die in this country. The same way it costs us way more to deport and jail people than it costs us to integrate them into our society.

    This type of story is red meat for conservatives to grouse about, but for the pragmatists among us who aren't driven by ideology, this is doing what is best for the overall productivity, stability, and wealth of our society.
