We will see how things develop, but this could be how the next few alt right gatherings turn out. Seems they spent most of the energy on Charlottesville.
Very likely to be the case, they have very little support around the country.....of course that won't change the narratives flying around and we'll still have tens of thousands of "counter-protesters" there to act like fools and get themselves arrested for attacking cops despite the lack of opposition.
Cops having bottles of urine thrown on them. Fighting back with mace. This is 100% Antifa btw. Few free speech advocates showed up and they have gone home.
Snowflakes cancelled their rally at Google. Michael's must have been running low on supplies to make their bedazzled cosplay shields.
Looks like it turned out great. It's still very hard. One negative incident and Bobby and the like will spin it up that to represent the whole group. Actually, let me rephrase that, even if no negative incident actually occurred, Bobby and the like will still find something negative about the whole group.
You have terrible news sources. This thing has been way out of control and violent all day Just a reminder. The rally being protested was a free speech rally. ****ing fascist pigs.
or why don't you just tell the truth, you don't care what they did, you'll blindly support them because you don't think for yourself. When a group can't even refrain from violence despite no real opposition, it tells you all you need to know about their character. I watched quite a bit of it today, it's pretty clear that they were primarily motivated by hate and were frustrated that they had no one to take it out on.
Nothing out of the ordinary though, if anything it was less violent than usual given that the cops didn't allow backpacks or weapons and had an absolutely massive presence that shut things down before they could get out of control.
The Boston Police Commissioner is a terrible source? I don't think he would said "great day for the city" if it was way out of control and violent all day. Perhaps you should check your news sources. edit: saw you edit --- "free speech" isn't the issue. The counter protest was a "free speech" exercise of expression against white supremacists and nazi. You know this. If you are against the counter protest, I'm lead to believe that you are against their free speech, or that you sympathize with the W.S./Nazi.
President Trump applauds the protesters: http://www.cnn.com/2017/08/19/politics/trump-tweet-boston-protests/index.html
It also doesn't make sense that he says that after requesting individuals stop throwing bottles of urine at officers.
Of course he would . He's a boston politician. He just said urine bottles are being thrown at his officers. 'Great day for city ' lolz. 27 arrested and police being attacked. 'Great day for city'
1. Are terrible sources the ones I know who are there posting live from the events all day, who have primarily seen a lot of togetherness, good cheer and good humor, or are terrible sources Faux News, running and re-running the most negative-looking snippets they can find, as per usual? 27 arrests is probably fewer than your average Red Sox game. LOL. Have you ever been to Boston? 2. Yes, the original organizers labeled it "free speech," but speaking empirically, to a good number of (not all) participants "free speech" is code for saying whatever backwards, racist things they want b/c they prefer the world of yesteryear. At the last rally, free speech included "Jews will not replace us!" whatever that means. That said, fine. Nobody deserves to be beaten for that, or hit with a bottle for that. But I applaud the peaceful people who want to offer a different, more integrated view of America and show that common sense outnumbers the movement of white self pity. 3. I don't think either "side" needs to be called "****ing fascist pigs" on this day. In Charlottesville, one side deserved that, for sure.
It would make sense if he was expecting even more violence from those groups. Also, the city should be proud of themselves for how well they handled those idiots, other cities have absolutely failed and ended up with major problems instead of just minor issues. You get that many hate filled people in one place working each other up into a frenzy and it could have easily ended up like Baltimore with buildings and cop cars being set on fire. Boston wasn't having any of it and they minimized the violence by keeping their pimp hand strong.
Yea, it does. He said there were 27 arrest for mostly misconduct. There were probably 40k there? That's 27/40k = 0.000675. Not bad. Great day in fact for such a large crowd in a small area.
