Well, you're up by 47 and we have an equal number of games left.

    Here's the breakdown:

    Duncan - 3
    Pierce - 2
    Shareef - 3
    Jalen - 3
    Pippen - 2
    J-Will - 4
    Keon - 3
    Lamond - 3

    Malone - 3
    Kobe - 3
    G-Rob - 3
    E.Jones - 3
    E.Snow - 3
    B.Wallace - 3
    D.Davis - 2
    D.Christie - 3

I'll probably close the gap to 20 or 30 points, but personally, I think you have the league all wrapped up.

I figure that I'll still have a fighting chance if the following happens:

    - Jason Williams or one of your other players misses one or two games.
    - Ben Wallace has a couple of 20 rebound games.

    Otherwise, I'm toast.

Final day. We both have everyone going. You're up by 82. Barring a miracle, you'll be the new champ by tomorrow. :)

Had Ben Wallace not missed two games, we'd likely be tied, making for a more exciting finish. Oh well. :(

By the way, check out the Fury/Mogs game. Those two bottomfeeding teams are putting on a hell of a show for their final match.

It's still entirely way too close for my taste. Why didn't I start Morris Peterson?!?!

    ;)

As if your 82 point advantage wasn't enough:

    - "NBA suspended Jason Terry one game without pay and fined him $10,000 for throwing a punch at and fighting with Don Reid yesterday."

Should cause Shareef's scoring to increase for the last game.

    - "Celtics placed forward Antoine Walker on the injured list with a sore left thumb. Walker will skip Wednesday's game and return for the playoffs."

Pierce will carry the load, and should have a huge game.

    - "Spurs placed center David Robinson on the injured list with a lower back strain. He will return for the playoffs."

Duncan will pick up the slack and have a monster scoring/rebounding game.

It's like you used voodoo magic or something.

Congrats, Pimp. Now you get bragging rights until next year, when we go back to sandbox and I reclaim my crown. ;)

I am totally happy with the results, though. I hated my team after the draft and figured that I would finish in the middle of the pack, especially after Brandon went down. Making it to the finals was a pleasant surprise.

Those two missed games by Ben Wallace turned out to be the difference. I think I would have pulled off the upset with those extra points. But, c'est la vie. Bad luck is bad luck. All part of the game.

As for the Karl Malone .vs. Paul Pierce saga, the final tally was:

    Pierce: 251
    Malone: 242

Not much difference at all. Whew.

Anyway, congrats and keep my trophy nice and shiny for next season.

BTW: Who is going to write the league recap???

I'm pretty busy with my new job, but I can try and do a recap sometime this weekend.

BTW, congrats to everyone on a really fun season.

Fade, you knew the trophy was only out on loan to you! I told ya in the preseason I was coming for it!!

    ;)

Man, I'm already looking forward to next season.

Pimp and Capitol are only one point different this week. Wow. What if they had played.

You mean D0D and Pimp. You're right, that would have been a heck of a championship game:)

Yes, it would have especially since he beat me twice this season. Next year I'm not going to second guess my original roster selections. I knew I should have started Peterson over Pippen this week, but went with Quitten because he had more games. Oh well.

SF3 and Matador move up to the 14 team league. Heath is the alternate if Clutch decides not to return.

It was fun, as usual. Thanks Bob. :D

BTW, should we have Clutch lock this thread now to preserve it? That would give us a target for next year's thread.

Anyone want to start giving odds for next season??

    GM to select Yao Ming?
    GM to win it all?
    GM to lose it all?
Odds DoD will lead most of the season only to have his team choke for the third straight year?

    ;)

    Bump....
