1960's knowledge !! Anyone else you've seen near him? Puig's accuracy is more amazing than his strength - and the strength is elite. He puts throws within 2' of the bag almost every time.
Don't know about "near him" but a lot of them have been mentioned by others. VLad early in his career had the arm but his accuracy wasn't that good. He improved it immensely over the yrs. Parker had a great arm as did Dwight Evans.
Difficult finding defensive-only compilations from most guys mentioned. I think Trout is similar to Griffey -- their great defense is mostly catching. They can throw very well, just not quite All-World. Larry Walker and Ankiel are also borderline elite arm candidates IMO. Puig seems most accurate of everyone mentioned. I've always liked players with good defense, regardless of sport. Being weak in that regard seems your heart is questionable.
T5 arms in stratomatic baseball board game are pretty good. No Astros that I recall, but Dave Parker was one of them.
Most people would agree you put your best arm in right field. Clemente is the all-time leader in assists for right fielders with 260. The next closest is Aaron with For the most part teams will put their best arm in right field. Clemente is the all-time leader for right fielders in assists with 260. The next closest is Hank Aaron with 186.
Hidalgo definitely comes to mind being an Astros fan from the dome days. Puig is definitely an amazing arm talent too, as are some of the others mentioned here like Vlad. There was a dude from the Rockies back in the day who made some unbelievable throws on the stros I can't remember his name.
Larry Walker, that’s the one. Thanks for the help! Speaking of old foes, Jim Edmonds was a beast as well.
