    Strength and Accuracy

Puig's big game last night reminded me of his throw not long ago @2:00. He's in RF maybe 10' from the warning track, guns to third on the fly, and hits 3B's glove posted right at the base. No fielder, ball hits the base. Speedy runner too.

He seems one of the greatest - non-stop great throws. Don't recall many since 90's quite like his level. Marisnick even accepts this. Might see Altuve vs Puig !!

Clemente and Mantle deserve mention from what I've heard.

Ellis Valentine and Dave Parker should be in the mix.

As far as Astros go, I'd give Glenn Wilson the edge over Hidalgo. Abreu had a great arm too :(

The Bo Jackson clip at about 1:13 is ridiculous. A completely flat-footed throw from medium-depth right field that short-hopped the third baseman.

Clemente and Parker were the best of their ages.

Puig may be the best I have ever seen.

A funny thing about these great arms is that opposing teams rarely tested them, so we are a little light in highlight films for them.

Which brings it back to Puig ... I’m surprised that teams have not learned to not test his arm.
