How many lost it in the heat of the moment? Clearly misread the situation. I don't want to see this raising to any legal assault as it seems he clearly wasn't intended to harm her, even though she was harmed. But the culture is changing, and people being more aware of it and being more sensitive and careful is to everyone benefits.
The "whole movement"? Are you close to many women? A lot of the **** that's come up is real. A lot more real than the case in this thread anyway. But yes, some of it is sideways. Not going to throw shade on every woman who's come forward though. Strikes me as overboard.
From the very beginning I have seen this campaign being used as a method to muddy the waters on sexual assault/harassment. This is a disservice to actual victims and an even bigger disservice to people like Ansari who end up getting **** on during the hysteria. There are real victims and real perpetrators out there and I don't feel like we need a social justice witch hunt to give them their due.
Okay, but the entire thing is not a social justice witch hunt, and there are articulate female voices warning against such, like Ashleigh Banfield criticizing this Babe column, just for example. Not trying to dissuade you though -- if you see the whole thing as f'ed up, that's your right. We may just know very different women. When I talk to the many non-whiny women I'm close with, like Mrs. B-Bob, their stories are almost uniformly horrifying. If the movement, such as it is, can help convince a few creeps to be less so, then it's all worth it.
It's gotten to the point where you have to record a video of all your sexual encounters for legal purposes
I wasn't talking about this thread or sexual abuse only specifically. Quite a few of the mass murder examples were from unattractive boys/men. I remember reading a book a while back from the author of Kite Runner, A Thousand Splendid Suns. Just gross behavior on all levels. Of course there have been acts of malice from attractive or ordinary looking men. I just think more often than not it is the unattractive ones that act out. Especially to females that don't want them.
I've had so many accusations of who I am. I'm just me. Again, there's 3 members on CF that know me. Ones active daily, other 2 meh. I've given out my personal address on here. We can meet up, I am who I am. There's also a 4th person here that knows where I use to work and what I do exactly for a living. SIL
