Damn good trade but we did trade Larry Anderson a few years ago for a guy named Jeffrey Bagwell. That was a good one too.

Verlander probably best trade for *immediate* impact.

He looks like a guy capable of 3+ prime/near-prime years too and we've got him locked up.

That was the guy I thought of while watching Verlander's gem. What a throw back! The first pitcher to throw a complete game with 13 strikeouts against the Yankee's in the playoffs since Gibson in 1964. Talk about good company - Incredible! We're close to the Series. You can smell it. To eliminate New York in the process would be the proverbial icing on the cake, and we're close. All appendages crossed! Verlander is joining the pantheon of Astros heroes. Keep it going, dude!

To beat the Red Sox and possibly the Yankees to move on to play either the Dodgers and the Cubs could be an historical run for Houston and baseball fans around the world

Wow. Game 1, Keuchel joined Gibson with lowest postseason ERA first 4 starts.

Sometimes "epic" just fits. Everything seems to point to this finally being the moment for the Astros, so I'm worried as hell, of course.

Yeah, said earlier I wasn't sure if we're setup for a harder fall or if we're destined to win it all.

    Rhymed without tryin

I will admit I am one of the most negative Houston fans when it comes to our teams going all the way.

I got up when Sampson hit the shot hear round the world only to be let down when it was apparent that sh*t hole of a building Boston Garden stole his soul when he fell months earlier and we lost to the Celts in 86.

The high of Mike Scott no hitting the Giants only to lose to the Mets on Kevin Bass's whiff.

Stockton's knife to the gut in 97

I was at MMP when Pujol's made Lidge his love slave. Yea. Won the series and then got broomed by the sox.

The injuries of Yao and TMAC stealing a good chance

6 outs away in 2015 - YAK UP

BUT. This year sure feels special. I think maybe it is time to positive and enjoy the ride. Those guys in the dugout believe and yesterday's win just made them more confident.

Is Keuchel Tom Glavine? Is he Lefty Greg Maddux? So fun to watch him pitch.

A-Rod says: “He’s Greg Maddux from the left side, with a little better slider.”

Pretty sure he is using the rating scale.

    EDIT

He should have used 34DD as the number

When we made this trade this was exactly the scenario we needed him for... Game 6 on the road with one win to capture the World Series!

If he can pull out another gem tonight this guy will go down as an all time Houston legend!
