Would you really want to "rehabilitate" these people?

    No thanks.

I’d rather spend our resources rehabilitating you.

Willing to donate to the cause. Setup a crowdfunding account.

"As ISIS falls @Cohete Rojo starts yet another thread with an invalid cause-effect relationship."

    As of August 2017...

This literally means nothing unless you provide the other parameter.

But I totally agree with you, I don't think Europe should allow radicalized individuals to immigrate into Europe.

I now wonder how many of those charged or convicted cake from Ilhan Omar’s district.

We should definitely look at the number of mail-in ballots from the Middle East — especially Syria, Iraq, and Libya.

Harsh, but these folks made a drastic life changing choice that there’s no going back from.

What do you think should be done with surrendered ISIS fighters and the families?

That is a very difficult question. I have no idea. Seems unfair to burden the children with the actions of the parents. But the last paragraph of the article gave me pause:

Loubna said she opted to leave but her husband, a Syrian, decided to stay. He will fight till the end, she said, adding he is prepared to blow himself up. "God will send help," she said. Loubna said didn't think she would see her husband again, and will raise her five kids to become jihadists.

Yea, that is exactly why this is a moral quandary.

If you kill them - you're killing innocents

If you let them go - you're likely setting loose people who will return to inflict 10X fold damage on innocents in the future.

I truly don’t know what to do with folks who abandoned their country to fight against it.

But I lean towards their “America” privileges are gone. I mean it would seem like they would need to put into some “witness protection” like program because they won’t be treated too well if they get outed if they return here.

So what is your suggestion exactly?

The ISIS fighters and their families are currently largely in the custody of the Syrian Democratic Forces and the YPG. They aren't set up to hold them forever. What becomes of them? Are they released into the wilderness? Are they repatriated to their country of origin? are they brought to justice? If so, where and under what judicial system?

    It's a mess.

I wouldn’t say we “allow” it.

Like I said, I don’t know what to do with folks who made the decision to abandon their country to fight against it. Doesn’t seem smart to bring them back to only have them violently murdered or harassassed. What kind of life will it be for these kids who will branded as “terrorists” by all their peers due to decision made by their parents? I don’t know.

Meh. That’s a concern too, but then again I’m on the side leaning towards they can’t come back.

Firing squad for all - as humans, we have much bigger, real issues to focus on. Doing the kids a favor, really. Pay some Syrian locals to do it, guerilla style. Absolutely not a domestic problem as actions have consequences, and they willingly went to fight a barbaric war against civil society.

Take the little kids away and set them up for adoption somewhere far far away. Send the adults to North Korea and let Kim have some fun.
