I have SEVERE reservations about armed teachers in the class room.
We cannot stop them from f***ing the students these days but we expect them to be armed.
TTTTOOOOO Many things can go wrong.

IF this were to happen the countdown before a student takes the gun from a teacher
then go on their shooting spree begins

What could possibly go wrong with more guns in the hands of non professionals in the schools. How many professionals act improperly with guns in this country by the way?

Lets have a shootout in school. Sounds like a great idea. What if a student takes teachers gun.

The fact that you're even talking about this mean's they've succeeded.

Act like the students have been this week.

Don't let them change the subject.

It's amazing how many people believe this is a reasonable proposal. All hope is lost.

Or an underpaid, overworked teacher just says, "F*** it, class is over."

My wife is a teacher. No way would she want to have a gun in a classroom. She is way underpaid and works too many hours outside of the classroom (preparing plans, preparing projects, evaluating kids works) to take time for gun training and to purchase a firearm. Second, she wouldn't want to take the responsibility to shoot someone. She also worries if the gun gets taken from her, or if she accidentally shoots a kid. As she ran off to class I told her what trump said, and she simply cursed. She is a republican, voted for trump, and regrets her vote.

The local county sheriff and the school superintendent both think its a horrible idea... what more do you need to know?

Naw, because it wouldn't be new money for this. They would scoop out some of the money for education to try to do this and our kids will get even less of an education then they do now.

GOP: any problems? More tax cuts.

    NRA: any problems? More guns!

Not just the teachers, but the students also , once they are 12 or older .should be encouraged to open carry as they could shoot back at an attacker. I would propose this for elementary school, but so far only middle schoolers and high schoolers have opened up on their classmates.

We should make this optional for the students since we are the Land of the Free.

This should be ok with the NRA and their bought politicians.

I am a teacher, I work with teachers, and I also enjoy shooting my guns. That being said, there is no reason at all to have teachers with guns at school. There are plenty of teachers I work with that would not be capable of being safe with a gun. I don't want them on campus.

That being said, if they did want teachers to have guns, I would start dressing like it was Gunsmoke and wear mine cowboy style. The idea of that is fun at least. The reality of it is just stupid.

I do not support forcing it but see no reason why a teacher who has the proper training shouldn't be able to bring a gun to school for protection on a voluntary basis. I even support state sponsored training for volunteers. If one of the teachers in the Florida incident had a gun, it could have saved several lives. My sister who is a teacher supports this and also tells me many of her coworkers support it. She already has her license and is well trained with a gun.

Every time I hear this idea I immediately imagine the teachers I had growing up with guns and immediately laugh at that notion. My 60year old 4th grade teacher, who was barely strong enough to carry her sack of school supplies around, now all of a sudden has to carry a glock 26 LMAO.

We have a problem with gun violence in our schools. Around our children.

Clearly the only way to solve this problem is to introduce MORE guns into the equation. Let's mix some more guns around our children. What could possibly go wrong?

    ****ing idiots.
