The problem with the Pels is that they've continually built a shitty team around AD. They suck at signing free agents, kept a shitty coach around, and suck at drafting. I mean, I'd feel desperate too if I were AD and I just wanted to win. You can't win in this league unless you have great talent from top to bottom on your team. Honestly, KD situation was just an anomaly. It was one of those situations that would have never happened if the salary spike didn't happen. That Durant move really broke the NBA. Obviously, with the Heat super friends, that was a shitty situation as well, but it went away after 2014. KD was what ruined everything. The NBA would not have a disparity in competition if ****ing KD would of stayed or gone elsewhere where there wasn't already a dynasty team built.
your comments perhaps would be valid if the refs werent helping durant win.... durant didnt ruin NBA, CP3 did it... luckily the refs saved it...
I want to see him in Milwaukee. Give me a small market super team. A trade to Boston could actually make both teams involved better.
http://www.espn.com/espnradio/play?id=24990372 Windhorst: Pelicans are petrified [about Davis]. Raptors are petrified about Kawhi. A veteran of watching LeBron leave teams, I can smell it like a bloodhound. They're both petrified. They're excited about this season but are petrified. That's the reality of the NBA. The owners tried to install this unbreakable amount of money where guys won't leave but we've seen Paul George, Kyrie, Kawhi ask to be traded. John Wall & James Harden took it. It hasn't held guys in place. It's batting about .500. Next summer they can offer $235M. If he doesn't sign him, they'd have to trade him. If they trade him, it could cost him $70M-$80M. A guy giving up $80M to choose his next team is not something the owners thought would happen. They're nervous about it. They're worried about it. He changed agents because he was not happy that Giannis was getting better marketing/endorsement deals than him. He made an agent change over marketing. He'll get a max deal no matter what. He wants better marketing. He has his reasons for that. Even if he had not changed agents, the Pelicans would still be worried. Him changing agents is an indication his focus is shifting & I'm here to tell you his focus has shifted & the Pelicans will benefit. He's in a new place. If he stays healthy, oh my God does he look so good. He's in great shape. The Pelicans play faster than just about anybody. They fly up & down the court. He's leading the break. He told me "I'm not worried about my point total. I'll get 8 points on breakaway layups because I outrun everyone." I think he's right. ...
Pelicans looked really bad so far in preseason, i think they'll do better going forward but eh, i still think it's a matter of time until Davis asks for a trade or at least says he's not staying in New Orleans, next season he'll be expiring already...
Well to be fair Rox are one of the best managed teams why would he eveb consider leaving. If Lebron got drafted by GSW and he played with Steph and co. I doubt he requests for a trade his entire career. But the again Harden still signed his extension when everybody was saying Morey was about to get fired and everyone was crapping on the MDA hiring so yeah you are right he is indeed pretty loyal.
I would be pissed off too if I was the better player, a perrenial MVP candidate and top 5 player and yet I still had no shoe deal. And it's not the market or his position. He's right to fire his agent over that.
Bigly rigged. NBA better appreciate there's fan interest outside of the game to really care about or pay attention to the manipulations.
That's really interesting info. And it makes sense. AD SHOULD get more press TBH. This might be his breakthrough year. We'll see.
Shout out to Nawlinz for wasting the primes of Chris Paul and Anthony Davis, legendary all-time lineup for such a shitty team.
Usually you might be in luck but he might have passed off his annual season-ending injury plague to boogie cuz (and now it might stay with the warriers).
WTH ..... Pelicans thought it was still Preseason. Dropped 149 on Sactown. Mirotic with B2B 30 pt games? Stop it! Dominant.
