Really? Alex Smith?? Why not bring back Carr?
    Hell, Tebow will be available.
If your gonna replace Schaub it better be with a top QB, and since none are available you stick with him or give Yates a shot next season.
    It's that simple.

Chosing whether to go LEFT or go RIGHT
is not an audible .. . it is an option available to him

Audibles are when you have a run play called
you audible to a pass play
You have a run going inside called. . and you change the play to the outside

What you described is Schaub having options . . . not audibling.

That man couldn't beat out a 5'11 rookie or land a job with a team that had his former OC as a head coach and needed a QB.

The Texans are better off riding Schaub and Yates out for at least one more season and then maybe trying to get a QB in the 2014 draft if he doesn't pan out if none of them are looking like a long term solution.

Sounds like hair splitting to me.

He doesn't have the entire playbook to call each time under center, so it's not an audible?

    Sure.

If the Texans don't run no huddle, that's Kubes' call. If the Texans don't allow Schaub to audible, that's on Kubes as well. Although I've heard former players on the radio say that we do audible, it's just subtle compared to what somewhat like Peyton does. Kind of like what Donny was referring to with multiple run plays. Schaub will give a subtle hand signal to Foster (tapping his leg/butt), telling him where to run. But it's not a lot of yelling and hand gestures and walking up and down the offensive line.

Regardless, you bring any other QB in and it will be the exact same thing because that's how Kubes wants his offense to be run.

You mean that system that calls for two passing plays from the 1 yard line?! Kubiak can go **** himself...

Russell Wilson has been playing great. I think you're really under selling him a lot.

You know, we DID try to run it and we got our asses handed to us, just like the rest of the game. The way the OLine was playing, we could've run it 4 straight times and we we wouldn't have come close to getting in.

That 5'11" rookie would be OROY pretty much any other year. No spin zone.

    Complete bull****.

If Aaron Rodgers somehow played here next season , do you honestly believe he wouldn't have the ability to audible? Be honest.

Kubiak knows what he has in Schaub. Keep it simple.

    ...
I can only think of one.

Schaub bootlegs to the left and rolls to the right. His options are :

Andre: deep post to the middle (mostly a decoy, except den game)
    Walter: 5-10 yard crossing route
Daniels: go up the seam in between the safety and LB OR 10-15 slant towards the sideline
Foster: sit 5 yards from the line of scrimmage (baits the lb)
He wouldn't . With Russel Wilson , Kubiak would ADD plays to the playbook, he would never do with Schaub.
Totally agree. I still think Kubiak's ego got in the way .

Alex Smith really? Texans fan base seems to rival Spurs fan base in terms of understanding the game & the league:(
