Gentile is crafty while being ambidextrous.....but ultimately it will come down to CnS 3P% between MCW & Gentile.

Because I’m reading to often that MCW defense was not good from people in Philadelphia, Milwaukee and Charlotte.
The stats back that up in my opinion. I feel MCW is more pesky than good defender. Would actually benefit from
    fouling more.

In the two games last year MCW was guarding Harden in the second game. Harden had 21 pts; but
MCW only played about 13 mins. I was watching this game and remember MCW more as pesky than
good defender. More like an active chicken running around with its head cut off than high basketball I.Q.
    on defense.

In the first game, Harden scored 27 points (MCW did not play).

I’m going to give MCW a clean slate and look for improvement; but a little competition wouldn’t hurt.
Like you said, Gentile might surprise us......perhaps in a positive way.

2nd game between Houston and Hornets

    MKG had a 150 ORtg & 107 DRtg
    while
MCW was 62 ORtg & 110 DRtg in that game.

Without the hops and without the ability to play offense or defense

Before his injuries, he was very productive on offense.

He's played in better leagues and against better players than either Clint (before NBA) or Hartenstein.

Yes, you're right, let's hope he can cope with the athleticism in training camp.

    Not saying you are wrong.

How many of his 3’s were like CP3/Harden dancing and then step back 3-pt attempts as a 1st or 2nd option.....
and how many were spot up 3’s?

    Makes a difference.

We may not be asking him to dance. Just be an accessory part.

Not only different teams and time. Look at their ages when they played in the different leagues. Your comparing young rookies to veterans.

Hell, if he wants a training camp invite, give it to him. Maybe he shows something, maybe not.

Wouldn't it be funny if Gentile was invited to the Bahamas retreat and Ryan Anderson was not?

Invites are probably noteworthy. Remember two years ago when Michael Beasley and Montrezl Harrell were no shows in Miami? Beasley is later traded to the Bucks for Tyler Ennis. Probably safe to assume Harrell was on the trade block then also.
