I think there was a similar poll very early in the season, but considering he is back from his ankle injury now and as far as I can tell 100% healthy, it seems like a good time to ask this again.

What kind of contract will Brooks get this offseason?

Personally, I think the rest of the season will not be good for him. He is obviously forcing the issue off the bench, possibly trying to preserve the value of his still to be signed contract wherever it may be.

I believe he will be better wherever he is with a new contract. I have been in favor of trading him all season because of his pending contract, but now I might consider keeping him because we might be able to sign him at a discount compared to what his play will warrant in the future.

Poll options coming with per/year numbers only to simplify things.

He won't be a Rocket next year. He's gone by the trade deadline.

Yes, sadly his highest trade value was last season.. :(

But I bet, he can still net us some nice talent and draft picks... ;)

I bet Ginobili isn't in AB's Fave 5 right now.

I mentioned before that keeping Brooks off the bench is designed to reduce Brooks value to resign him cheaper, but I still think a team like the kings may still offer him a big contract.

He may be mad, but he isn't dumb enough to play poorly on purpose when it is only his money on the line.

Brooks needs to go.... Lowry/Martin is balanced and effective. It would be even moreso if we had a decent 2 way sf. Lee/Budinger will hit threes and shots off the bench. Brooks is very hot and cold. And really does nothing well except score and the occasional nice pass. I like the guy, but he will want to start and get paid wherever he goes next year and I can't see us paying him much more than Lowry got. Plus, there may be that resentment factor towards the org there at this point. Not saying I see that going on, but it could be there. Not only did Brooks voice his displeasure about not getting extended, but it looks like he has indeed lost the starting job to Kyle Lowry. If we were to keep him, I would offer him the give exact contract we gave Lowry. And I know he will get someone to sign him to a larger offer sheet than that.

Brooks+Jeffries+Budinger+Hill+2012 first rounder for Nazr Mohammed, Gerald Wallace and DJ Augustine.

    Mohammed/Miller/Hayes
    Scola/Hayes/Patterson
    Wallace/Battier/Williams
    Martin/Lee/Williams
    Lowry/Augustine

I say 4m/year because he is undersized and cant do anything else besides score inconsistently. The moment Martin stepped in Toyota Center, Brooks was no longer needed. He is an upgrade over Brooks. Someone like the Lakers might want him.

Now when you say balanced and effective, did you mean we are 20-24.

He is definitely worth $14 Million per season.

You basketball novices need to stop spewing your misinformation here.

And Lowry needs to be traded before he gets fat again.

Hopefully some team will throw dumb ridiculous money at him so the decision for Morey not to match will be easy. Provided he makes it past the trade deadline.

    wow...who the hell voted 12m/year

he is just an undersized scoring point guard.

i feel that he would be a great scoring punch off the bench for a contending team, similar to what nate is doing for the celtics.

I would say around the same amount kyle is having.

Trade doesn't work, the salaries doesn't match up. Add Brad Miller and an exception to the deal and the Bobcats add in a bench warmer filler then the trade would work.

DD, he thinks if all players in the NBA would be in a draft, Brooks would be number 10.
