As a healthcare provider and as someone who operates a medicare accredited business, this has to be the dumbest thing ive read all day

How surprising that one that benefits from the artificial shortage of healthcare workers and benefits from the pig pen that
is US healthcare things it is dumb??

You're biased and part of the medical cartel if you can't understand how medical licensing and control by the AMA,
AAMC and others have strangled the need for doctors and thereby allowed them to control healthcare and direct
business and testing to their own facilities.

So you are a 'healthcare provider' and own a 'medicare business' so that means you have the capacity to push patients
to your business and are incentivized to do things that are contrary to what medicine needs.

The payors need control and can't attain it due to licensing and government allowed cartels.

    Enjoy billing medicare ahole.

its just strange that everyone thinks if the government runs healthcare it will suddenly be all good.
Whether the money is paid for out of cash, insurance or taxes we're still getting squeezed by the
    healthcare establishment.

When doctors own labs and are pushing patients to get more and more tests and are incentivized to
see 40 patients a day and 85% of them get medication as opposed to care the system is broken.

The power of the consumer is needed direly as the system is built for the providers and not for the
sick and the consumers. That needs to be broken.

Read Atul Gawande's New Yorker Article on McAllen and that tells you everything you need to know
about what healthcare in America has become.

The problem is price inflation whereas we have had deflation in nearly all other consumer services as quality has
risen and prices have fallen especially relative to value received. From the cost of televisions to cell phones, to
food to robotics to services and products.

Yet healthcare prices continue to rise because entrepreneurs are stifled by medical boards and government intervention.

Free healthcare from bureaucrats and watch the prices fall and the service rise.

Of course we can look at how successful other government projects have gone like the War on Poverty, the Affordable
Housing programs, the War on Drugs and more.

Editorial from Ezekiel J. Emanuel, M.D., an oncologist and vice provost for global initiatives, university professor, and chair of the Department of Medical Ethics and Health Policy at the University of Pennsylvania; and a senior fellow at the Center for American Progress. He worked in the White House on the Affordable Care Act from 2009 to 2011.

Name the much-criticized federal program that has saved the U.S. $2.3 trillion. Hint: it starts with Affordable

The now emboldened trump attempts to complete his destruction of the Affordable Care Act and take away affordable health care from tens of millions, including those with pre-existing conditions that were protected by ACA.

Trump administration now says entire Affordable Care Act should be struck down

In shift, Trump administration backs judge’s ruling that would kill Obamacare

Holy crap. Talk about emboldened. This DOJ is off the fritz and completely trying to destroy how the law works in this country.

Also have to wonder if there is something up with the 5th circuit we don’t already know about.

If Dems don’t make this the headline campaign issue in 2020 they are stupid. Tom Steyer should redirect his need to impeach fund to run ads on this 24 hours a day.

And the GOP, so far, has no viable alternative to healthcare or the rising Medicare costs.

If republicans push this all the way to the supreme court there will be another blue wave in 20/20.

Trump can't be that stupid can he?

Talk about not reading the room.

And always a tweet from the past...

btw, this issue becomes even more personal when my daughter with a pre-existing condition leaves my health care plan as she turns 26 in December.

Gee susan, if there was only a group of elected officials that could so something about that. They could call it "the U.S. Senate". I tell you, senator collins is sure helpless...

Interesting to note, collins voted against ACA though she did vote against the repeal (as did murkowski and John McCain.

Well, I would say 30 million fewer Americans....getting their medical expenses paid by other Americans. This is a good thing.
