Ya Roby turned down a multi-year offer (from the Steelers I believe) for a 1-year prove it deal with us. You have to think he's looking for his payday after betting on himself as most do.

Roby will be a little cheaper because of his injuries this season.

This is different due to Roby's lack of health this yr.

While it isn’t a top priority I still want a true threat at TE. And several free agents available as well

    1. Hunter Henry
    2. Eric Ebron
    3. Austin Hooper

    In the draft I like

    Harrison Bryant
    Colby Parkinson

I think we’ve gotta root for the trio of Akins, Warring and JT at this point

Akins was off and on all year inconsistent
And Jordan Thomas fell off big time and got in O’Brien’s dog house like keke.

Fells was the constant and he’s on the wrong side of 30 and isn’t a real true threat.

Seemed like he had some sort of imaginary injury that landed him on IR for the entire season. BOB threw some shade at him a couple of times about not practicing. Hopefully he’s not another throw away 3rd round pick.

Fells caught a case of the dropsies a bit at the end of the season. With pressing needs for pass rushers and DBs, hard to keep using higher end picks on TEs.

That 2018 draft is slowly busting.

    Agreed.

And if you look at my previous post I mentioned there are some FAs who should be targets.

    Hunter Henry
    Eric Ebron
    Austin Hooper

This offense especially Watson needs production and help from the TE position.

A real threat and mismatch at TE would really open things up.

I don't think the texans need to reach for another TE. Hopefully Jordan Thomas can get out of whatever dog house he is in and Kahale Warring can make an impact after sitting last year

I'm in the hoping group that Warring's red shirt year will give him a jump start next summer. Dude has all of the physical ability, but hadn't played ball that long so probably needed some time to adjust to speed and mental side of the position.

JT and Keke need to get their **** together and come back hungry. Atkins actually made some progress and Fells was a nice stopgap until he dipped his hands in butter.

We have greater needs in the draft than TE I believe.

    More athletes on the D-Line
    Cornerbacks with range

As much draft capital we can put on this defense PERIOD

Interesting that a lot of more players on offense seem to fall into BoB’s doghouse. Warring, Thomas, Keke, Foreman, Strong, etc...Not saying it’s unwarranted but the defense doesn’t seem to have this issue as much. Certainly more under BoB than Kubiak from what I can remember as well.

At all costs, I want a receiver with some smarts that can take the top off a defense while staying healthy.

Then, re-sign Roby. Sign Yannick Ngakoue. Sign Bud Dupree.

    Draft BPA.

I think the defense's problem is more pass rush and less secondary.
