ICYMI, a group of triad gang members assaulted civilians in a subway station last month. Pro-Beijing lawmaker was seen shaking hands with the triad gang members and the Police was accused of colluding with the triad gang members. No one has been charged so far.

You are 100% correct. Legally they can return it to the parliament before July next year.

Yes, we are. In fact the changes are already happening now. Most of the media are controlled by mainland now. They are forcing schools to teach in Mandarin in attempt to eradicate our language. Also they've been sending 150 mainland immigrants every single day since 1997 and pro-Beijing camp gets more and more votes every election. People here understand the clock is ticking as our economic relevance to China decreases over time.

Oh I didn't know this, thanks for the insight. There definitely seems to be a socio economic dimension to the protests as well.

According to CNBC, venture capitalist activities in Hong Kong are down 77%, year-over-year

Also, Alibaba, the PRC's version of Amazon, held a board meeting before its latest quarterly earnings release last week, during which,
the board decided, amid growing political unrest in HK, to postpone the second listing in the Asian financial center. https://www.cnbc.com/2019/08/21/ali...tponed-a-hong-kong-listing-amid-protests.html

Alibaba had been considering raising $20 billion through a second listing in Hong Kong in late August 2019.

    You obviously are ignorant.

The North Korean, Venezuelan and Russian governments are not nearly the threat that China is.

In fact China sends huge amounts of aid to both North Korea and Russia. China wants to keep both leaders in power.

China leadership is completely devoid of moral values and is the largest threat to freedom in the world.

You just called Russia and North Korea two of the three largest threats to freedom in the world and are upset that i said those countries are lead by scumbags? News flash... those countries ARE lead by scumbags and they are oppressive and totalitarian and corrupt and have no regard for the lives of their own people.

You really are a PRC mouth piece.

You are the same stooge that in 2017 was praising Xi for his willingness to make China more democratic.... months before he became dictator for life.

Just give it up. Go back to posting pictures of Chinese power lifters and day dreaming about how China will crush the US economy by selling US treasury holdings.

I’m sorry I cannot take you serious.
