They should honestly just play tomorrow's game an hour after this and just play underhand toss. There are no arms left. Keg, cigars, crocs, body odor and man t***. Just go for it. I could have watched all 3 hours of Live PD and still would have missed nothing. I mean it's almost time for freaking breakfast. I ate lasagna 7 hours ago. So mad cuz I can't quit it now. Putting tape on my eyes to keep them open. I'm officially old.
I don't know how anyone can stay awake watching this as a neutral, especially with Joe Buck lulling everyone to sleep for the last 7 hours.
I don’t know if the pitching is really good or these batters are just really exhausted? We’re about to start a third game.
They probably left Eov in an inning too many. I mean...they milked him until his t*tties fell off. Can’t fault the guy!
Batters weren't exhausted.... they were just trying to end the game with each swing. Which happens quite a bit when it goes to extra innings. Unless a guy gets on base via a walk, everybody is simply swinging for the fences and very little run manufacturing is attempted (even though extra innings are probably the only time, analytically, that run manufacturing is the right move). There was a graph on twitter regarding exit velocity of the balls in play as the game went on... by extras, it was down to 70+ MPH for both teams.
At that point, given that they really had no other options... Pomeranz hasn't pitched in 3 months and was being held back to potentially start game 4. But even if he was ready to go, hard to say that he's a better option than Euovaldi at any point. I was ready for Betts or one of the catchers to take the mound.
I bet Cora wishes he would have gone to his bullpen earlier in the inning. Puig just did a 3 run homer there. Joe Buck was expecting a pitching change and it looked like Cora was about to come out but didn't.
Ian Kinsler changed this entire series. Boston could’ve been up 3-0 but gave L.A. new life. Give me 7 games of this.
